“Trust only those who earn it.”
A sentiment I follow without direction but holds more consequence than ever before.
One decision, five lives, three futures.
This is what’s at stake.
One night, one choice, four broken Brayshaws.
That is where we’re headed.
Unless I stop it.
I 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 to stop it.
I have to remind him of what he’s chosen to forget.
My town. My choice. 𝘔𝘺 ending.

You know the moment a series or trilogy ends, and your not ready to say goodbye. Yep, I’m pretty much having that moment right about now. I’m not ready to say goodbye to Raven and Maddoc, but as they say, all good things must come to an end.
Reign of Brayshaw is the conclusion to Raven and Maddoc’s story and is told from both Maddoc and Raven’s point of view. Just a warning, If you haven’t ] read the first two books in the Brayshaw High series, I highly recommend you do so before diving into this book. This is not a standalone.
Because this is the final book in Maddoc and Raven’s story, I’m going to skip the ‘in my own words’ part of this review to avoid spoilers for those that have yet to read the trilogy. What I will tell you is alliances are formed, lines are crossed, and the possibility of betrayal runs extremely high throughout this novel.
Maddoc and Raven’s romance has been a whirlwind of emotions, there were so many incredible highs to go along with the indescribable lows. I truly never knew what was going to happen next at the end and the beginning of each new release. And believe me when I say, the cliffhangers throughout this trilogy are pure brutality. If you’re a new reader, you are lucky not having to wait and I commend you for your strength in the ultimate waiting game.
Reign Of Brayshaw picked up exactly where Trouble at Brayshaw left off. Thank god because that ending was freaking crazy as hell to try to get over. I’ve been thinking up the worst case scenarios while waiting for Reign Of Brayshaw to fall in my hands. And let me tell you, when this book finally fell into my hands everything I had planned for the day was pushed to the backburner. Once I started this novel, I had zero power when it came to putting it down. I sat on the couch and lounged in my bed the entire day while I binged this bad boy. So let that be a lesson for you, if you have a long fulfilling day planned to the max of shit you absolutely have to get done….. I highly recommend you hold off on reading this book until a day when you have nothing on the schedule. Because this book will consume your every thought and you’re going to want to know what happens next, and what happens after that. It’s a continuous ‘just one more chapter’ broken promise on an endless loop.
Reign of Brayshaw is full of twists and turns, you truly never know what waits on the next page. The shocking moments are just as brutal as the angst. My heart was in hyper overdrive thinking the best but expecting the worst possible outcomes.
The thing I loved most about Reign Of Brayshaw was having a front row seat when it came to Raven realizing love isn’t always a one way street. I loved the moment she realized she fell hard for not only Maddoc, but also Captain and Rayson! These moments legit punched a hole in my heart. This girl has truly been through IT ALL in her short lifetime. My heart broke for her repeatedly because all she wanted in life was to find acceptance and love. Given her past history though, letting people in wasn’t an easy task for her to accomplish. So it was great to watch her find that acceptance and love she’s been searching for her entire life.
Captain, Royce, and Maddoc are just as swoony as they ever were. Captain is still my favorite man out of all the Brayshaw boys. I don’t know, I guess I have a weak spot for the single father types that would do anything and everything in their power to move heaven and earth to make sure their flesh and blood is safe. This man is so freaking dreamy!!! I loved everything about him.
OMG…. I completely forgot why I rated Reign of Brayshaw a four instead of a full 5 stars rating. I dropped a star because some of the moments seemed a bit far fetched and unreal. I understand this is fiction, but I like a little realism mixed into the romances I read. I like to walk away thinking, damn that could really happen in someone’s life. But I unfortunately didn’t walk away with that notion. A bit of the content was extremely far fetched.
Alright, so in order to avoid further spoilers or spoilesque material I’m going to end this review with stating, Overall, I really loved this book! Meagan Brandy ended Maddoc and Raven’s romance the best way she possibly could! With a bang and an epic insight into what’s to come for the Brayshaw boys! I can’t wait!

Peace Love and Happy Reading,

I’m still thinking about it, and I’m not sure yet how to rate it. It was a bit much at times….
It was hard for me to rate it also. I felt at times I loved it, but towards the end things became a bit unreal especially with the council meeting and all that, It felt more like a renaissance novel than a mature YA novel. In no way does a teenager hold all that power lol
It felt way beyond a YA novel – way OTT in regards to some situations. Almost like godfather. I would love if these YA dramas stay mostly YA, it’s more believable that way. Throw in a bunch of influential adult males and you lost me….
In my mind, if a book interests me I’ll read it. I typically don’t look for YA, Mature YA, or New Adult *ratings* but I can see why this would bother those that specifically only read YA or New Adult. Some people don’t like over the top sex scenes in their reading material and I stand behind the fact that it shouldn’t be in YA. She should have made the characters a few years older and put this novel in a new adult category. I also get you’re *The Godfather* reference but throughout those moments I was looking forward to Raven busting down the doors and kicking ass on the round table bullsh*t. The ending was a tad bit anticlimactic for me. I wanted a little more from that moment. Instead it felt like she gave in way too easily.
