Synopsis:
My innocence was stolen when I was abducted at five years old. For eleven years I held on by clinging to childhood fairytales. I waited for a prince to someday save me and carry me off to a happily ever after.
I had no idea my savior would come as a scarred recluse, covered in tattoos, who can’t—or won’t—speak a word. Nevertheless, the moment our eyes met I knew he was the one. My prince.
With his bare hands, he killed the monster who kept me captive. But people have a way of distorting the truth when the hero looks like a villain. As it turns out, Tyler Grace is many things: A myth. An outcast. A nightmare. Haunted by tragedy, he lives secluded in the forest. Some say they see him ride through town at night—straddling a black motorcycle, his face covered by a skeletal mask.
I’ve been warned to stay away, yet I can’t stop thinking about him. I ache to hear his voice. And I want nothing more than to break through his walls. I know he’s the only one who can break through mine.
Do we dare dream of a love that once felt impossible to find? Or will only our horrible, twisted past tie us together?
Tied is book two in the All Torn Up series but can be read as a standalone novel.

My heart couldn’t take much more! Holly and Tyler’s novel is an endless rollercoaster of emotions and everything that comes with learning to live after tragedy tropes. Whew, I thought I was prepared…but there is no amount of preparation to get me ready for a novel like this. I’ve been reading somewhat lighthearted books as of lately, and then I decided to pick up this novel and there went the happy vibes and lighthearted reading month….
About Tied:
Tyler lives his life in seclusion due to an accident that led down the road to a lot of awful decision making. Now, scarred and battered, Tyler lives in the woods to stay out of the sights of wandering eyes, pitying looks, and small town gossip. But that’s all about to change when he finds a woman that was abducted years ago. Now, Tyler will do everything in his power to make sure no man or human ever hurts this beauty again. He put the man in the ground, and he’ll do it again in the name of protecting her.
Holly wished someone would come rescue her from the bad man. But years go by, and her prince never shows. Until one night a scarred man finds her in the hole the bad man leaves her in from time to time. Witnessing her prince kill the bad man should have been enough to strike her curiosity but it’s not. Now, Holly has made it her mission to show Tyler that not every human is bad. That love can be found in the oddest of situations.
These two are in for the fight of their lives and I was here for it!!
My Thoughts:
Carian Cole brought the emotional depth to Holly and Tyler’s story! My heart broke with every new light that was shone on these two and their back stories. I will admit, I cried rivers while reading this novel. But that comes as no shock to me, Carian Cole tends to lean heavy on emotion and flawlessly executes this fact with each novel I read. What else can I say aside from I’m thrilled to see Ty and Holly finally get their happily every after!
I loved the slow burn aspect with a lot of character growth and development along with a plot that scared the heck out of me. I knew Tyler and Holly’s story wasn’t going to be for the soft-hearted. I knew this was going to be twisted in a brutally honest way. I was just hoping by the end, Carian Cole would give Tyler and Holly the happily ever after they deserved… and she delivered!
I also loved watching both Tyler and Holly grow from their tragic pasts with the others help. I loved seeing them heal from the brutality that was forced upon them, and the ending had me gasping…. literally gasping…. I didn’t see that coming at all!!
I decided to give Tied a four star rating due to the fact that I wanted just a little bit more growth from Tyler. I would have loved a few more family time sessions to truly cement that foundation and see he’s on the right track of mending his brokenness. Overall, I loved Tyler and Holly together. I loved their happily ever after and I loved the fact that they became fast friends and fixed one another. My heart feels like it has fully been healed after that tragic tale.
