Synopsis:

I’m a soldier looking for a second chance. She’s the woman whose heart I broke. My final mission—win back my cupcake.

Four years ago, I faced an impossible choice. I left the mountain, my MC, and Sydney, the woman I loved.
Now I’m back as security for the brewery where she works, and the tension is thick between us.
Someone’s siphoning beer in the dead of night, the security cameras aren’t working, and every clipped order she barks makes me want to pin her against a fermenter and remind her who we were.
Protecting the brew is the job. Winning back my cupcake? That’s a mission I refuse to lose.

Wild Return is a steamy, forced proximity romance between an ex-military biker and the curvy girl he must convince to give him a second chance.

Wild Return is the final book in the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Riders MC Series written by Sadie King. If you are in the mood for a quick (hour long) read, don’t hesitate to try this series. I’ve really enjoyed this journey of ex-soldiers with their hearts of gold and their hero complex! My heart is filled with joy. I’m so glad I decided to give this series a whirl!

Today, I’m here to discuss the last book in the series, Wild Return! Viking is the last of the Wild Riders to make it out of the service. Now he’s home and he has some serious making up to do, but first comes the apologies. And Sydney isn’t about to let the man she loved just walk back into her world and reclaim her heart. The trust is lost and Viking has a rough road to fix before claiming it once again.

I have to say, I adored these two and the fact that Sydney didn’t let Viking into her world right away. The one negative aspect, with a second chance trope, I like to have more dialogue and more detail to really cement that foundation and make it sturdy. A lot of times, with novellas, that foundation feels uneven with a few cracks in it because there isn’t a lot of time to sift through the past and grow from previous mistakes. I somewhat felt that in this novella. I really wanted to witness these two develop on a deeper level, not only personally, but within their own relationship. I wanted to feel that strong bond grow even stronger. And for me, something was missing. This is why I initially gave this book a three star rating.

However, I did add a star back onto my rating because I loved the ending and the epilogue. I saw the love I craved shining through these two chapters and I honestly felt my heart melt a little! Overall, I enjoyed this novel I just needed a little bit more from the storyline and the character development.

Now, I’m diving into the Jake’s Heroes Series by Sadie King. I can’t wait to see what this series of novella’s has to offer! I’m currently reading A Seal’s Heart and I’m loving the emotion packed into this one… so far! What can I say, I’m feeling the quickie reads!!
