Only One Forever is the eighth and final book in Natasha Madison’s Only One Series. This series is a generational spin-off series which revolves around a few sexy as sin professional hockey players. And take it from me, the girl who has read books one, four, and eight… every book in the Only One Series can be read as a standalone. However, be warned, I’m gathering the small fact that this series may just be like opening a Pringle can. Once you start this series, you won’t be able to stop until the last book.

Now onto what Only One Forever is all about. This novel is a best friends-to-lovers hockey romance told from both Alexandra (Alex) Horton and Dylan Stone’s point of view.

Dylan is standing and staring at a fork in the road of life. His career and his personal life are hanging in the balance and the smallest of decisions can send him spiraling through unknown territory. Something is missing and he has a feeling he won’t be able to find that something in Montreal. So on the cusp of a close season, but still a losing season, Dylan packs his bags and takes his butt to the one person who has always had his back no matter what. He hops on a plane and heads to Texas, where his best friend Alexandra (Alex) recently moved to.

Alex has loved her best friend Dylan since before she can remember. But in order to keep their family secure, she’s always buried her feelings beneath false smiles and hidden tears. Now things aren’t so easy to keep hidden once Dylan is staying in Texas with her. The question of the day is will these two get their epic happily ever after, or will they let their fear win in the end.

My Thoughts:

Natasha Madison has a way with writing Hockey Romance. The first hockey romance I read was Something So Right and that started a whole new trope obsession for me! You definitely never forget your first. I love the fact that she decided to continue on with this family and all their wild antics. I mentioned above that these novels can all be read as standalones, and as of right now, I’m feeling a binge read coming on in the near future. Natasha Madison threw a curveball into this novel and believe me when I say, I didn’t see *all of that* coming!! This story is about more than just Alex and Dylan uncovering the truth about one another’s feelings.

My heart swooned the whole way through Alex and Dylan’s story. I loved the close bond these two shared and honestly, there’s nothing I would have changed about these two characters from their chemistry to their personalities. I loved it all. But in the end, I was left with wanting more, and I was left with wanting to know more about these characters on a personal background level. And that’s the reasoning behind why I gave Only One Forever a 3 ½ Star rating.

Overall, I liked the romance and the close knit family bond that’s wrapped within this book and this series. The attraction between Dylan and Alex had my heart swooning and me wanting more, and that’s where things went a bit downhill for me. I wanted more and I was left with wanting more. The element of surprise was the one kicker that raised my initial 3 star rating up to a 3 ½ star rating. Natasha Madison brought that element out of thin air. My heart was falling and flying more and more with every page read. I had a hard time battling my emotions. This kid stole my heart! Due to spoilers, I’m going to end this review right here. Just know, I liked this novel and a few moments had me semi-falling head over heels in love with this novel. I just needed more of the last in order to push my rating up a few more notches.
