Blurb:

**STILL is the conclusion of Grip & Bristol’s emotional journey. You must read FLOW, the prequel, and GRIP, book 1 before beginning STILL**

I’ll be there.
Through thick and thin.
Ride or die.
You can count on me.

The promises people make.
The vows we take.
Assumptions of the heart.
Emotion tells us how we feel, but life…life has a way of plunging us in boiling water, burning away our illusions, testing our faith, trying our convictions.
Love floating is a butterfly, but love tested is an anchor.

For Grip and Bristol,
Love started at the top of the world
On a Ferris wheel under the stars
But when that love is tested, will they fly or fall?

“And it still isn’t enough. Anything that ended would never be enough for a love like ours. A love like ours is only satisfied by forever.”

I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS BOOK! I thought the angst and the tears were over. I thought this was going to be all about their happily ever after. I WAS OH SO WRONG! Kennedy Ryan broke my heart, it’s irreparable. I feel broken, even through their eventual happily ever after, I still feel so broken.

In My Own Words:

Still is the second and final novel to Grip and Bristol’s story. This is the conclusion, and trust me when I say, you all better have your box of tissues and a bottle of jack on standby. You’re going to need it…..

“Grief handed me a heart of iron, and I rusted it with my tears, a muscle not made of flesh, not pumping blood.”

Grip is on his way to saving the world one human soul at a time, he strives to save the world one human soul at a time. He doesn’t want to be just a rapper, he wants to be a voice for those who need him. He wants to be the hand that helps those who have fallen, and he wants to be the heart beat for those who have passed on by the hand of another. And what Grip wants, he tends to get.

But now Grip and Bristol are faced with a tragedy they can’t find their way out of and a choice that ends with the same devastation. Their relationship has survived everything the world has thrown at them, but will it survive this final hurdle?!

My Thoughts:

I’m going to attempt to be as spoiler free as I possibly can, in case those who haven’t read the novel yet are reading this review. So this portion of my review will be a bit shorter than previous reviews.

Let’s start by saying, It was one in the morning when I found myself sitting in the dark, in the middle of my bed with tears running down my face and sobs flowing from my chest. It’s been a long time since I had a bookish meltdown, in fact, I think the last time I cried this hard was when I read A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole and that was years ago… Kennedy Ryan broke the dam holding my emotions at bay. I felt the emotions, I felt the moment, and I felt Bristol and Grip’s pain and their prayers. I felt the shattered hope and the devastation. Now, it takes a lot to get me to the “Ugly Cry” stage. Kennedy Ryan all but shoved me off that damn cliff, where my sanity is concerned. Grip and Bristol’s conclusion is just as brutal as it is beautiful. So thank you Kennedy Ryan for nearly draining my tear ducts dry, if that’s even possible. I woke up a puffy mess and had to fake allergies…. That’s how hard I was crying….

“My pretty bird,
fly with me and cry no more.”

As I was reading the Grip series I loved feeling the closeness between Grip, his family, and his friends. I loved that kinship and the strong family values. Even through all the ups and downs between his family and Bristol, I didn’t think I could love this family anymore than I already did. But then Still happened and my love for them grew even more. I cried like a freaking baby when Grip walked into the kitchen and saw his mom hugging Bristol and I continued to cry after that. It’s true, tragedy really does bring people together. The strength all characters show in this novel is undeniable. My heart isn’t going to get over that moment with Ms. James and Bristol.

You know, they always say there is a silver lining after every storm. Grip and Bristol had the hurdle of all hurdles to jump. They didn’t stick their landing in the beginning and I was terrified these two wouldn’t make it in the end. Fate can be a fickle bitch, and it just goes to show sometimes life has other plans for you.

This series is beyond epic. Kennedy Ryan has now become one of my favorite authors because of this novel and because of these two characters. Grip and Bristol’s story will stay with me forever, and that I can guarantee. If you haven’t had a chance to pick this series up yet, you should pick it up today.
