Questions I Would Ask My Favorite Authors

TTT (1).png

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week is a new bookish category in which we get to brag about our favorite books that fit with the weekโ€™s category. You can pick your top 5, 10, 15โ€ฆor so on. I tend to keep my list to ten!

Todayโ€™s category:
Questions I Would Ask My Favorite Authors

Stephen King

Stephen King is one of my top literary heroes. I’d love to get a glimpse inside this man’s brain, I bet that would be a crazy journey! My two questions for this literary icon,

  1. I’ve always wanted to know, What inspired you to write Pet Semetary?
  2. Given the fact that you’re an author of thrillers and horror material, I’m curious, what is your greatest fear?

V.C. Andrews

The first romance series I remember reading, I was in fifth grade and it was The Landry series by V.C. Andrews. I’m well aware, Virginia Andrews passed away in 1986 after she released her Dollanger (Flowers in the Attic) series, My Sweet Audrina, and two books in the Casteel series. After she passed away the novels were picked up by a ghost writer, under the pen name of V.C. Andrews, so my questions would go to Mr. Andrew Neiderman.

  1. I’m a huge fan of romances written with feelings that are authentic to the Cajun lifestyle. When I first read the Landry series, it felt like I was in the bayou of Louisiana, and I’ve always been curious, how did you get that authentic feelings of being in the bayou?
  2. And lastly, I’d like to know how you ended up becoming Virginia Andrew’s ghost writer. That sounds like it would be an interesting story.

Nicholas Sparks

Another favorite author of mine is Nicholas Sparks. Of course he’d be on a favorites list of mine, I’m a lover of angst and you can’t possibly get any more emotional than a novel written by Mr. Sparks. My questions for this author are,

  1. You’ve become one of the most infamous authors in regards to killing off your main characters towards the end of your novels. Why do you feel the need to end characters which you made us readers love and adore through the novel?ย
  2. Where do you get your inspiration for writing such angst filled material?
  3. This is a funny question, but given the fact that you stole all my tears a time or two, have you ever cried while writing the ending to one of your novels?

TIJAN

I’ve been a huge fan of TIJAN’s ever since I read my first book by her (Fallen Crest High). As I stated above, I’m a huge fan of angst and emotion in the novels I read, there is something raw and true when an author has the capability of pulling emotions out of their readers. Every novel I’ve ever read by this author has been excellent, addicting, and everything I needed at that time in my ‘reading’ life. So my questions for this author would be,

  1. Sam is a badass heroine, and she may just be my favorite heroine of all time! Where did the idea and the inspiration her character come from? She felt to real to be 100% fictional.
  2. Do you ever get tired of reader’s comparing the rest of your fictional couples to Sam and Mason? Because let’s face the facts, Sam and Mason are hard to outdo in the romance world.
  3. Or does the comparison’s give you that much more drive to make your next couple better and stronger than ever?

If you could ask your favorite author a question, what would it be?

    1. It’s nice to (virtually) meet you as well! And welcome to my little space of the blogosphere!

As for Tijan, I say this to everyone, the Fallen Crest series is a definite must for everyone looking to dip there feet further in the wonderful world of Tijan. But really, you can’t go wrong with selecting a book from her collection. I loved them all.
