Happy New Year Everyone! Today is a day of recuperation so I thought why the hell not indulge and partake in this weeks top ten Tuesday meme. It’s been a very long time since I’ve posted a top ten post. With the new year, comes new changes, new goals, and new resolutions. I’m going to try to stay on top of the top ten Tuesday meme this year. So you can expect a top ten post from me every Tuesday…. Hopefully.
Anywho, let’s get started with this top ten post, but first let me break down what Top Ten Tuesday is all about! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme created by The Broke and The Bookish and is currently being hosted byย That artsy girl reader! Each week brings a new category. This weeks category….if you haven’t guessed it yet… is my Top Ten reads of 2018! This hasn’t been an easy task, picking and choosing the books I loved above all others but I’ve finally accomplished this mission and I’m very happy with my choices.

My Top Picks of 2018
Follow Me Back
by: A.L. Jackson
Follow Me Back is the first book in A.L. Jackson’s newest Confessions Of The Heart series. This book literally tore my heart to shreds. Kale and Hope’s story still lingers in the back of my mind. But one person who I can’t help but think about is Hope’s little boy Evan. This little boy brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. When you put a kid in a novel, one who’s been through hell and back, and then you give him the personality of an angel…that’s my weak point and I’m a legit goner! This little man is the true definition of strength, he’s a freaking superhero! A.L. Jackson has earned her spot on my top ten with this novel. This one has been one of my top recommendations of 2018. If you haven’t yet given this one a read, I highly recommend you get on it. It’s such a beautiful emotional read!

Long Shot
by: Kennedy Ryan
Here’s another angst filled novel for all the angst romance lovers like myself. Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan is a book that can’t easily be forgotten. This one tore at my heart and captured my very soul. I cried so many times. Long Shot is a complex story about one woman’s fight for survival and her ability to do everything in her power so her and her daughter are safe. Even if it means putting herself in the hands of the devil himself. Long Shot also shows one man’s journey into finding himself and achieving his dreams of being in the NBA. These two stories get mixed up the night Austen and Iris meet in a bar. The two are one in the same. There are some overwhelming triggers that come along with Long Shot so be prepared and expect the unexpected. I also Highly recommend this one to those who seek truth in romance novels, no matter how gruesome and brutal that truth may be.

No Tomorrow
by: Carian Cole
Oh My Lord… You all have not lived until you have read No Tomorrow by Carian Cole! This novel seriously took me by surprise, I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did and to be honest, If I had to choose my top pick of 2018 on the spot. It would without a doubt be this book. This novel is so meaningful and emotional. It’s an anomaly and unlike anything I’ve ever read before. I was hooked from the very moment I read the blurb.. A homeless musician and a mousey girl willing to help him in any way she possibly can. There’s something forbidden but also true about this one. I think that’s the main reasoning for why it drew me in so quickly. I simply couldn’t get enough of Piper and Blue’s story. This novel touches on the subjects like mental illness, drug abuse, and depression. If those are triggers for you, I recommend you prepare yourself before diving into this one. This is another emotional read that I hands down recommend to everyone!

Bad Boy Brody

What would a top ten list be without a Tijan title in it! Bad Boy Brody by Tijan is another great novel that is unlike anything I have read before. This is a novel about one girl who has hidden herself from the rest of the world due to the tragedies that she faced. She’s learned at a young age the only person she can depend on isnโt a person, in fact it’s a herd of wild mustang.ย I loved the vibe of this whole damn novel from front to back. Bad Boy Brody brings a newness to the romance genre. I can honestly say out of the thousands of books I have read, there has never been one like Bad Boy Brody. I loved the originality Tijan brings to the populated world of romance. Not only is this an epic love story but there is also twists around every turn and a spiritual sense that is so incredibly strong. I loved the hell out of this one!

Beyond The Bases

I love my sports romances, but even better, I love baseball romances. Beyond The Bases by Kaylee Ryan has a little bit of everything. It’s cute, sexy, and sweet. Easton Monroe plays first base for the Tennessee Blaze, which makes it difficult for him to find genuine people to hang out with and date. He’s sick of the wild scene that comes with being on a MLB team, he’s looking for something more stable and long-lasting. When Larissa walks through the bar door with her friend Chloe, Easton has a strong feeling that she’s the one he’s been holding out for. But when she starts turning down his advances, he realizes this isn’t going to be as easy as what he thought. He has his work cut out for him if he wants to win the heart of this woman. Even though I loved the hell out of Easton and adored Larissa, I have to admit, Little Miss Paisley stole the show! This four ‘almost five’ year old firecracker is so freaking adorable. She has everyone, including me, wrapped around her little finger and she knows exactly how to play the game.

Bad For You
by: J. Daniels
Bad For You by J. Daniels is another book that I didn’t have to even consider when adding to my top ten of 2018 list. Shay and Stitch are one of my favorite couples of 2018. Shayla is a sassy hairstylist who is looking to get her business up and running, she’s also a waitress at whitecaps. If you read the first two books in the dirty deeds series, you may already know Shayla has had a long time crush on Sean aka Stitch. Sean is the cook at Whitecaps. He’s a broody male with a no f*cks to give attitude. But underneath the tough guy exterior, this man is fighting the greatest battle of his life. As the years go by Sean’s self-confidence in himself withers away and he finds himself unworthy of anyones love and affection. My heart legit broke for Sean. I was not expecting his story and background to be this tragic and heart wrenching. My heart started to heal along with Sean’s as Shayla came into the picture. She’s the strength and the love that he never felt worthy of but always wanted. Shay and Stitch’s story is the epitome of what I expect out of romance novels. I read this book in January of 2018 and a year later I’m still head over heels for this couple and their journey.

Up In Smoke
by: T.M. Frazier
T.M. Frazier has been the reason behind some of my favorite dark reads in 2018. Up In Smoke was one hell of a ride. Iโm a sucker for a story that involves a captor falling for his hostage (unless its real life, of course.) Frankie and Smoke are fire and gasoline, striking a match could burn the whole damn town down! The chemistry is on point making for some brutal sexual tension and sexy as sin sexy times. I loved the hell out of this novel, Its dark and downright dirty! Smoke is the master of all vicious bad boys!

Perversion
by: T.M. Frazier
The Perversion Trilogy by T.M. Frazier is another favorite of 2018! T.M. Frazier is a freaking bad ass!! I swear every time I start a book written by her my mind is taken hostage until I finish it! I was legit swept away from the beginning of Perversion. I loved the darkness that surrounds the whole story and the gritty adrenaline induced violence. Tricks and Grim are a match made in hell and a couple that isn’t easily forgettable. I loved their stories from start to finish. To all those that love romance with a darker side to it, I highly recommend this trilogy. You won’t be sorry!

The Blood That Drives Us

M.N. Forgy is quickly becoming one of my top favorite authors. Her MC romances are phenomenal and unforgettable. I can’t get enough! The Blood That Drives Us is the start of a brand new spinoff series to her Devil’s Dust MC Series. This novel is Zane (Shadow and Dani’s son) and Addie’s (Bobby (Stepdaughter) and Doc’s daughter) story. I’m legit in love with this new series! Addie and Zane’s story is filled with loads of suspense, adrenaline, and enticingly hot chemistry! I highly recommend The Blood That Drives Us to all those looking for your next MC Romance fix!

All Of Me
by: A.L. Jackson
My last spot goes to A.L. Jackson for her latest novel All Of Me. I have to say Ian Jacobs is a man who isn’t easy to forget. There were so many aspects that made me love this one.ย For starters there’s a sexy as sin attorney with a dirty tongue, aย fierce single mother who will do anything to protect her babies, and a forbidden romance that has the power to set your kindle on fire.
All Of Me is a love story that will have even the strongest of hearts weeping. With a little bit of suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat… you’re in for a long crazy ride with this one. I loved Ian and Grace!
