Music is his passion. It’s in his blood. Yet, Quinn James isn’t sure if stardom is right for him. His family wants him to join a band, and follow in his father’s footsteps but fear holds him back. He can’t explain it, and when he tries, no one understands what he’s afraid of or why he’s content playing coffee shop gigs where no one knows him.

Eleanora Boone wants to live her life, not the one her very southern parents planned for her, which is why she chose a college thousands of miles away. Now she’s faced with returning home or doing something that would defy her family. When an opportunity to visit Los Angeles falls in her lap, she uses it to become someone different.

California is everything Eleanora thought it would be, and even more so when she meets Quinn, the shy, reserved and brooding musician who’s the complete opposite of the guys she’s used to back home.

For the first time, Quinn’s smitten. The new, mysterious waitress has him wrapped around her finger, and he finds that he is finally able to open up and trust someone outside of his family circle.

But living a different life comes with its risks, and for Eleanora, that risk is a secret that has the power to destroy both of them.

From the moment I started the Beaumont series: Next Generation, there has been one character who has intrigued me the most, that being Quinn James. This man is not only sexy and shy but he’s also a freaking MUSICIAN!

About Chasing My Forever:

Quinn James has always feared the moment his birth mother would come walking into his life. That’s why he’s put his dreams on hold and has lived in the shadow of others nearly his whole life. But when Quinn gets an offer to join a band his sister Elle is managing, he doesn’t have it in him to refuse her anymore and joins. Quinn never had any interest in dating, he knows what he wants and he won’t settle for less than perfect.

All Elenorea wants is a fresh start in a new town where nobody knows who she is. She wants a place where she isn’t expected to marry a douche bag just to strengthen family bonds. When she gets an offer to visit her friend Kellie in Los Angeles of course she says yes. So with a new alias and a new job Elenora is about to find out what real life entails.

While at the bar Quinn gigs at, he sets his sites on the new waitress and feels an instant connection straight to his bones.

My Thoughts:

Quinn James is everything I expected him to be. I loved the fact that this man is not only sexy but he’s also shy. We need more Quinn’s in the romance book world! Seriously, I swooned so hard over this man. I loved the awkwardness his character portrayed as he chartered into unknown areas of his life. This man has never had the pleasure of falling in love and he’s never wanted to fall for anyone who was less than perfect, so to witness this sweet man fall for the first time was the swooniest and cutest moment…EVER!

I had a love/hate relationship with Nola ( Boone). I really liked her character and felt she meshed perfectly with Quinn’s character. She’s your typical sweet southern belle who’s yearning to spread her wings and fly from home. She also has a free spirited air about her that I absolutely loved. She craves independence and will do everything in her power to gain it, even if that includes semi-running away and lying to her family. However, there were times her character felt a tad bit wishy-washy with certain aspects in her life.

Quinn and Nola are freaking adorable together! Their both learning new things about themselves and transitioning into the people they’ve always striven to be. It was sweet and so freaking adorable.

The only major downside to Chasing My Forever was the fact that I easily predicted the outcome of this novel. I knew from the start how this was going to end. The element of surprise wasn’t there for me which made the angsty moments a little less emotional.

Overall, I enjoyed Chasing My Forever! I loved the hell out of Quinn James! Reading this novel makes me want to seriously pick up The Beaumont Series and give it a reread! Ugh serious bookworm problems, not enough days in a year!
