Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 23rd, 2017
My Rating: 4 Stars
Synopsis (Goodreads):
Love can be as sweet as honey, or it can sting like a bee.
Bo Smith knows that if you go looking for honey, you get stung, so he has his life just how he wants it. No hassles, no complications, and no heartache. As the handsome high school athletics coach, he would be the pick of the small town he grew up in… if he was into commitment, or dating…or even calling back. But he has sworn off anything resembling a future and his mind isn’t going to change.
Then his eyes lock on the new girl in town…She’s beautiful, intelligent, and full of surprises. Just the kind of complication he has been avoiding.
Sophia Brown is looking for the sweet simple life. She has it all planned out. Getting used to life alone isn’t easy, but she has her garden, her bees, and her dog Triton to tend to. It’s the fresh start she’s been dreaming of, surrounded by nothing but open fields to stare at all day.
Nothing at all…unless you count the high school football team and their distractingly handsome coach, practicing right across the street.
When sparks fly, Bo must choose between the sting of his past or the sweetness of the future.
He may just find that honey tastes good on everything.

I accepted an ARC of Honey Bee by Heather Shere to read and review
Oh King Triton…you take the cake when it comes to most mischievous pup!!!
Sophia has just moved to the small town that her mother used to reside in. She has the perfect house and is close to settling in. That is until her dog King Triton decides to raid and digest her panty drawer. She meets Bo when he offers to help her move her stubborn dog to her car and then volunteers to drive the two to the local Veterinarian who also happens to be his sister.
Sophia is a bee keeper who puts honey in everything.
Bo is the coach at the school across the road from Sophia’s house.
Thanks to King Triton always tackling Bo on the field when he sees him Bo and Sophia quickly form a relationship. Sometimes the chance meetings are good and other times ‘thanks to King Triton’ things are tense and well….sticky.
I love novels that incorporate a mischievous animal. Those are always the most humorous scenes. King Triton is no exception. Hilarious. I loved him.
This novel is not only humorous it also has a tad bit of angst in the pages. I’m not going to go into detail because Spoilers are ‘bad news bears’ but i really felt for the characters in this novel. My heart broke in certain situations.
I loved Sophia’s feisty attitude but also her down to earth nature. She was a good girl but knew exactly how to put someone in there place if they stepped out of line.
This was, all around, a great novel.
