OMG….Styx is the ultimate alpha male with a heart of gold! This novel is captivating and one of a kind.  Styx grabbed my attention from the very first sentence; I was an immediate goner. There is no one out there like Styx.

As it usually comes with Victoria Ashley’s novels I was completely addicted from the very first page. Styx turned out to be my favorite character in all of her novels combined. I didn’t think that would happen. I will always have a special place for Slade since he was the first novel I read but…Styx was amazing.

The novel starts off on a hot as hell note. Styx is a male entertainer and he’s in the middle of working ‘it’. With some crazy hot dance moves he gets business done. The women around him are going crazy and being all grabby hands. The women do nothing for him now. The life of a male entertainer that he once loved he now finds exhausting.

Styx yearns to find the one woman that doesn’t look at him as a piece of meat but the one woman that looks past his outer shell and sees him for the man he truly is. Then and only then will he give away his heart completely.

Styx isn’t just a male entertainer with a heart of gold. He also has a dark side to his past. He’ll do everything and anything in his power to keep the one’s he holds close safe. I get that this is a fictional world but my heart honest to god broke for the guy when he completely lost it and exposed all of his pent up rage and anger on the one that has been the cause for complete turmoil and misery he has felt for all those years.

Meadow is an amazingly strong woman that has been through her fair share of tragedy also. She’s lost everyone she cares about. She’s a nurse that is existing from day to day. The only relationships she has are with those that work beside her. She goes on living like this not seeing the issue at hand until a chance encounter run in with Styx when she switches gyms and finds herself at his gym. I loved Meadow’s character. She is independent with a mind of her own. She also has determination to go after what she wants in life.

OMG the sexy time scenes in this novel are out of this world crazy hot. One thing I love about Victoria Ashley’s novels is she doesn’t skimp on the details! This is probably one of the hottest books that I’ve read by Victoria Ashley. It could also be I’m a bit biased because Styx is my new favorite. Shrugs shoulders. No doubt about it Styx scorched the pages on my kindle!

The only thing I wish was added would have been the conversation between Styx’s mom and Meadow after they left his moms house. There was mention of a conversation they had for hours but not really of what the two discussed. I would have loved to see the start of an emotional bond between the two form.

This series is my go to series when I’m in a book funk but I’m thinking this novel is about to put me in a major book hangover state! If you haven’t read the Walk of Shame series or the Walk of Shame 2^nd Generation series yet I highly recommend it to you. These novels are so good.
