Second Read Review Update:

This is the second time I’ve read Meagan Brandy’s Say You Swear, and I think this book broke me more the second time around that it did the first. One thing is for sure, Meagan Brandy knows how to flawlessly execute emotional scenes gaining the potential to have her reader’s in tears. My heart broke harder for Noah this time around. Honestly, I still think of this man as the ultimate book boyfriend and the ultimate hero in Meagan Brandy’s new adult world!

I also have to say, I’m so glad I took the journey and decided to read the Fumbled Futures series by Meagan Brandy before diving into the Boys Of Avix series. I feel like I felt more due to knowing who the side characters are. I was confused about Payton and Lolli and Nate the first time reading this book. I remember feeling like I was slightly missing out on something and now I know I was. So if you are a first time Say You Swear, Boys Of Avix Series, reader I highly recommend you dive into Fumbled Hearts and Defenseless Hearts before diving into this series!

Meagan Brandy brought it all to the table with Say You Swear! I wasn’t expecting the incredible heartbreak I felt. I wasn’t expecting the joy and the laughter to flow from my eyes or the tears to run down my face. I wasn’t expecting to feel this deep connection with fictional characters. But here I am, still sobbing like a kid who had her favorite toy ripped from her hands. Holy Hell, what did you do to me Meagan!!

It’s been a couple months since I could say this, but I finally found my first 5 star read of 2022!! It has been a long time coming, and I’m so happy to find I loved this one as much as I did. It legit had everything I looked for in a 5 star read. Heart, heat, and an inevitably epic happily ever after. This author made me feel emotions I haven’t felt in a long damn time when reading. It’s also been a long time since I ugly cried while reading! My emotions are still sitting in the bottom of my heart in a tangled mess. I can’t get over this story and the heartbreak it made me feel…

Now onto what I loved about this novel.. Without giving spoilers away..

First off, let me just say these characters and their chemistry is off the charts, and I’m talking about all the characters. I loved the close knit vibes. I loved the bond and the chemistry that came with each and every friendship. Meagan Brandy wrote this novel in a way that had me feeling like I was on the sidelines watching every conversation and every breakdown… I felt connected to each and everyone of these characters!

Second, I loved the setting. I loved watching this group of lifelong friends get pushed out into the world on their very own for the first time. I loved how they each had one another’s back. And yes, I even loved Mason’s overprotective vibes when it came to the two girls in their crew. And yes, I’m sitting on pins and needles hoping like hell Meagan Brandy will release Mason’s book soon… I can’t wait to see this man unwind and relax just a little bit. Although I know Mason, once he finds his happily ever after I can already see his alpha-male vibes are going to escalate!… I just jumped off my train of thought…. Which only goes to show and prove how much I loved these characters! But back to the setting, I loved the new adult/college vibes that came with this novel.

Overall, Say You Swear by Meagan Brandy was a phenomenal read and deserving of all the stars! I know I didn’t give away much detail, but I feel this novel is best read and processed without knowing anything about it. If you want a tidbit of information just know this story is about one woman in search of her happily ever after. She gets lost a time… or two… and has to find her own way towards what she wants. And that is all I’m going to say about the themes of this novel.

In my opinion, if you love angsty new adult/college reads….. I highly recommend you read Say You Swear!!! And hopefully this novel will rip your heart to shreds like it did mine, because let me tell you, the mending and final healing is worth all the pain at the end of the day.
