Synopsis:

I should have known I’d break the oath I made when I offered to let my best friend’s little sister move in with me…

She’s the sweetest woman on the face of the planet.

And to my great misfortune, the sexiest one, too.

She’s been living under her brother’s roof her entire life, and she’s ready to spread her wings.

And I’m the masochist who offers she stay at my place until she can find an apartment.

When I hear her having a nightmare, the only thing I can do is go to her. Hold her so she knows she’s safe from her demons.

The second she’s in my arms, the attraction I’ve tried to hide sparks to life. I know better than to push past the boundaries I’ve set for us, but when she begs me to touch her in a way she’s never been touched, I can’t resist.

And with my name on her lips as I send her soaring for the first time, I know there’s no going back.

I’m willing to break every rule and oath I’ve ever made to keep her.

Accept every consequence.

Only she and I have a dark, dangerous history that no one knows about.

And I’m afraid the consequences of loving her have just caught up to us…

I don’t know what it was about Under An Endless Moon by A.L. Jackson, but something about Otto and Raven’s story had me wanting to slowly lose myself in this novel. I tend to speed read, but for the life of me, I could not speed read this novel. I felt this overpowering need to get to know both Raven and Otto’s characters on a deeper level. And that is why A.L. Jackson is one of my top favorite authors. There are so many different aspects to her novels, and I don’t want to miss a thing! It happens every time I read a book she has written! Moonlit Ridge is turning out to be one of my favorite series from her! Everything I love about reading romance is being found within this series. Unbreakable Bonds, Suspense, and Page Scorching Sexy Time Moments are just a few of my many favorite things when it comes to Under An Endless Moon! If this is right up your alley, pick up your copy today! If you are a fan of the forbidden love trope with a side of best friend’s younger sister vibes, there’s another reason you should pick this one up!

Raven has lived the majority of her life under the protection of her brother, river, and his best friend, Otto. After a traumatic childhood, Raven has finally felt like she’s laid her demons to rest and is ready to spread her wings and fly away from the protective arms of her brother and Otto. The only thing that’s standing in her way are the unrequited feelings she has for Otto… She would do anything to open this man’s eyes and see her for the woman she is, instead of the little girl he helped chase nightmares away. Luck is on her side, After walking in on her brother and his wife going at it like two rabbits, Raven has had enough and finds her exit. Only to be propositioned by Otto. Until she finds her own place, she can stay with him.

Otto gave his heart away to Raven a long time ago, unbeknownst to her. But a vow to her brother caused him to step away, breaking her heart in the process. For seven years, he’s kept his heart at a distance, hoping she’d move on and find her perfect happily ever after. The day he opens his mouth and suggests she move in with him for the time being is the day he knew he could never turn back from the woman he can’t erase from his mind. The only matter at hand is how to delicately break the news to his best friend?

And that’s where I’m ending this portion of my review! You all have to read the book to uncover the suspense, mystery, and the danger that lurks on every page!

My Thoughts:

Oh my lord! A.L. Jackson has once again found a way to completely entrance me with her words and her characters. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get when I first picked up Under An Endless Moon, but I knew from the first chapter that I was in for a treat!

Let’s start with Raven. I adored the strength and the emotional growth Raven showed throughout this novel. First, let me say, this woman went through hell and back as a child. The few flashback scenes that were shown had me on the verge of tears. No child should have to live through what she lived through. I loved witnessing this woman pull herself up from the ashes and soar high above the flames. She’s a warrior with great strength. I couldn’t get enough of witnessing her grow and flourish! I also loved that she had a protective older brother and a found family that she could lean on. They made for a great support system for her. Especially Otto.

And speaking of Otto. This man is ONE OF A KIND! He has these strong alpha vibes but shows Raven a softer side. This man would move heaven and earth to protect her from everything bad in the world, but he refuses to stand in the way of her dreams. He wants her to achieve her dreams but also wants to keep her safe. This man had a lot going on in his head. I felt the emotional confusion flowing from him in waves. I felt the devastation of one day knowing he was going to have to let her go flawlessly. This man was undeniably in love with Raven from the start of the book to the very last page, and it showed effortlessly. My heart felt the endless whirlwind of Otto’s inner thoughts and Raven’s adoration. Then the climactic point hit, and I literally felt the breath leave my lungs. Holy crow, A.L. Jackson knows how to pack a punch with her suspense! Let’s just say I didn’t see that coming!! She pulled the rug right out from under my feet, a task that is typically very hard to do! That is why I ultimately gave Under An Endless Moon a full five-star rating!

Let’s not forget about the spicy scenes. If you love your romance reads to be less clean and more on the spicy/sexy side of the spectrum, this is the final reason why you should probably read this book! The spice factor is ON POINT!

Overall, Under An Endless Moon by A.L. Jackson is going to be a novel that lives in my mind for a long time! I have a feeling no other novel within this series is going to hit me as hard as these two have. You know the saying “Never Say Never”, I guess we shall see! I do have to say, I can’t wait for the next book in the Moonlit Ridge Series. The teaser at the end has me eager to get my hands on the next story! I can’t wait!!
