Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted byย That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week is a new bookish category in which we get to brag about our favorite books that fit with the weekโs category. You can pick your top 5, 10, 15โฆor so on. I tend to keep my list to ten!
Todayโs category: Favorite Character Relationships (These can be platonic or not. Romantic relationships, parent/child, siblings, family bonds, friendships, found families, pet/human, etc.)
Today I’m sharing my favorite relationship types in romance.
Young Love & High School Relationships:
Ah! What’s better than witnessing someone fall in love for the very first time. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a hopeless romantic. Some of my favorite romances revolve around the young love aspect. Something about jumping in head first always leaves me wanting more. And then watching that love or infatuation grow and evolve is something I find inspiring. Plus, typically, with these types of relationships, there is always a bit of drama lurking around every corner. And I’m here for it!

Heartbreaking Relationships:
One of my favorite moments in romance is unknowing whether or not the couple will live out their happily ever after. Most romance readers expect the happily ever after. However, I see things a different way, not everybody in life gets to live out the traditional viewpoint of a happily ever after. Due to illnesses, accidents, or life happening their happily ever after is shortened. These novels have taught me, you have to make the most with each day your granted on this earth!

Relationships That Had My Mind and My Heart at War:
Every once in a while I come across a romance which has a slightly unhealthy relationship. If you’re a fan of the Bully Trope, you know what I’m talking about. Typically, the hero is an aggressive butt to the heroine, resulting in tears and resentment. But somehow, the hero always finds a way at redeeming himself and I’m almost always left feeling this strange kind of love for both characters and their relationship. These are the books that had my heart and my brain at war with one another!

Young love is the best kind of love! So pure yet exciting!
I love seeing the FCH and the Vincent Boys character relationships on here!
Both were great reads! I’m feeling the need to reread a few novels now!

Thank you!
That first category reminds me of talking to my high school freshman daughter last night about all the “love” drama at school. Oh, boy! LOL.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Awe! I remember those heart to heart talks with my mom and dad.
Dad would say, *he wasn’t good enough for you* typical dad advice
Mom would hug me and say *there are plenty of fish in the sea, you just have to have the right bait for the right fish….* (LOL) My mama is one of a kind.
