Wow, Today is the first day I feel like I can take a full breath of air without it being laced in anxiety. A few weeks ago my niece who is 5 years old took a fall playing with her puppy. She had a small cut on her finger and with a bright purple band-aid in place she went on her merry way. Fast forward to a week and she couldn’t extend or bend her finger that had the cut. So off to the emergency room my brother and his wife went with the little one. Come to find out, when she fell, she broke the bone at the first joint in her finger. Fast forward a week later, with a splint… a new doctor informed my brother and his wife, little one has to have surgery due to the previous doctor. I guess he put the wrong style of splint on her and her finger had started to heal wrong. So yesterday, little one went under for surgery. Now little one has pins and screws in her finger and a cast. My heart breaks for her, but I’m happy that this happened when she is so young, rather than at a teen’s age. I’m so thankful that yesterday ended with a huge sigh of relief and a prayer of thanks.
Now, I’m ready for a slowdown. I’m ready to sit on my front porch swing and read as many words in as many books as I possibly can. So let’s get started with the WWW Wednesday.

I’m currently reading two books. The first is an ARC copy of The Way I Hate Him by Meghan Quinn. I’m only a few chapters in and so far I’m enjoying this one! I’m also a few chapters into Before We Fall by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I can already tell this week is going to be a great week where reading is concerned!

This week was full of tear-worthy reads! I have no clue why I picked all angst-ridden books. To be honest, Bleeding Love and Full Measures were both random picks from my bookshelf. I guess it was meant to be. I was supposed to cry rivers of tears this week. And then you add in Sacrifice to the mix and it was a full blown tsunami worth of tears. If you’re looking for a few heart wrenching novels that will have you praying for a happily ever after, don’t hesitate to grab one of these three books! It was a great week of reading.

I have a few ARCs to read before I can diving back into my kindle unlimited and paperback tbr. The first ARC on my list is Stay Wild by Kaylee Ryan. I am loving the Kincaid Brothers Series so this book has been a most anticipated read for me! I can’t wait to start it. The second ARC I’m also highly anticipating is Second Down Darling by Lex Martin!!! This one just popped up on my reader a few days ago! Let me tell you, the excitement to see this arc on my ereader was a tad bit overwhelming. I wanted to drop everything and pick this bad boy up, but that wouldn’t have been the adult thing to do… I had to keep telling myself, no! And I also plan on reading Smokeshow by Abbi Glines! EEK! FINALLY!
