Question Of The Day:
What is your favorite book to movie adaptation?

My Answer:

I’m typically not a fan of book to movie adaptation. Let’s face the facts, no director or producer is ever going to get the vision we have, as readers, perfectly. I’ve noticed in the last year or so, the big wigs like to put their own spin on the romance novels we hold dear to our hearts… and it’s not the same. Forever My Girl (written by Heidi McLaughlin) and Beautiful Disaster (Written by Jamie McGuire) were all movies I looked forward to seeing on the big screen for years. And these two movies, one older and one very recent, is why I’ll stick to not getting my hopes up.

However, there has been one book/movie adaptation that I loved and I continue to watch once, twice, maybe three times each year!

That book being The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory! The directors/screenplay writers/producers did this book justice! I loved everything about this movie from the chemistry and passion between the actors and actresses to the costume design! If you love novels/movies revolving around the Tudor time span, I highly recommend you read this novel and then watch the movie! It’s worth it!!
