Hello everyone, and welcome to the first bookish wrap up of 2022!
It was a great reading month for me. I managed to fit 24 books into my reading schedule. So let’s get to these books!
Series Catch-Up

This month my main goal was to read and catch up with the Mason Creek Series. I’m loving the hell out of this small town series, and If you are a fan of small towns I highly recommend you get your hands on this series of standalones today! My heart continues to fall head over heels with every book I read.

Steele Brothers Series – Helen Hardt
This month I also read two books in the Steele Brothers series by Helen Hardt. I read Melt and Burn. I’m slowly, but surly, making my way through this series. Hopefully I can have it all read by the end of the year. So far, I’m really liking this series. There were a few moments I can do without, but Helen Hardt knows how to bring the suspense and knows how to keep her reader’s entertained through it all. I can’t wait to read more in the future!

Burn – Steel Brothers Saga, Book 5 – Helen Hardt (Amazon | My Review)
A Few Re-Reads
This was a weird month for me, not only did I have a few personal issues going on, but I also had a strange urge to re-read a few series. I think I wanted something I knew I would enjoy to counteract the negative effects life was throwing my way. So I decide to re-read a few series I knew I loved.
The ‘Cuda Confessions Trilogy – Eden Connor
I first time I read The ‘Cuda Confessions Trilogy by Eden Connor was in 2016 and I knew this trilogy would be one of my go to re-reads when the time comes. I do have to say, this is the second… maybe third… time reading this trilogy, and I still loved it, but that love meter may have dropped a notch. The first time I read this series it was 5 stars all across the board, and now that rating has dropped to a four star. I felt there were quite a few moments that were rushed in this trilogy. I wanted more of an emotional connection and less of a sexual connection. I do have to say, i loved the forbidden and slightly taboo vibe Eden Connor brings to this trilogy… nothing has changed on that scale, I just wanted more of an emotional investment this time around.
MC Chronicles: The Diary Of Bink Cummings – Bink Cummings
Another go to re-read for me is the MC Chronicles: The Diary Of Bink Cummings series. If you love MC Romances and strong female leads, I highly suggest you pick up this series! I’ve read this series four times and each time I find something new. I love Bink Cummings journey towards finding love in the most unlikely places. I loved the age gap trope that led to some pretty strong forbidden vibes. This woman is as feisty as they come and I love how Bink isn’t afraid to dish back whatever is being served. The only issue I have, as I had with the other series I re-read this month, Is I felt like there were a serious amount of moments that were rushed. I wanted more from Bink and Big. The sexy times were scorching but I would have loved a bit of a slowdown. A tad bit more romance and little less heat. This year I plan on reading all of Bink Cummings novels! So I feel like I’m on my way in the right direction.
This month I also read the four short stories Bink Cummings added to the MC Chronicles.
Advanced Copies I Read
I only had one ARC in January! Holy hell, no wonder why I had so much time to re-read all these books… That ARC was Put Me In Detention by Meghan Quinn!. I love everything about Meghan Quinn’s novels. From her writing style to her wonderful world building and character interactions, there is never a dull moment. Meghan Quinn brought all the feels with Put Me In Detention. There were moments I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt and there were also moments that brought some serious tears to the surface. And this is one of the main reasons why i keep coming back to this author. She never lets me down! I loved this book so much! If you want to read my review you can check it out here!
