Meghan Quinn is the queen when it comes to laying all the emotions on the table! When it comes to her novels, there is never a dull moment or one single moment when you donโt feel some sort of emotion. Iโm legit obsessed with her story lines and her characters! What a great way to start off a new year by reading Put Me In Detention! I needed a good laugh along with a good cry. This one has ALL THE FEELS written all over it, thatโs for damned sure! Be ready for all the shenanigans and pranks! I laughed so damn hard at all the wild moments!

Coraline *Cora* Turner is finally able to live her life, after making her way through a brutal divorce, she decides her and her girl’s need to get away on a little Divorce-cation. So what better place to go and be free than the city that never sleepsโฆ Las Vegas, baby! All Cora wants is a fun weekend with no worries, plenty of booze, and maybe a fine man in her bed sheets by the end of the night. What she doesnโt encounter is the sexy as sin Pike Greyson to show up unexpectedly at the same bar as she and her friends.
A charity golf game with the promise his father wonโt be there was what Pike Greysonโs plans were. All he asks for is three months to see if this marriage could workโฆ And thatโs where Iโm going to stop this portion of the review, due to not wanting to spoil you all.
My Thoughts:
Pike is the epitome of bad boy with tattoos and a British accent that wraps up his sexy as sin exterior. But there was so much more to Pike than his bad boy attributes.. This man is what I like to call a gentle giant. Heโs kind, considerate and has a passion to help those in need. This man is the epitome of book boyfriend. I loved his cool exterior, with his heart of gold complex. My heart literally took a beating for all this man went through!
And then we have Cora. All Cora wants to do is live her life to the fullest, now that she doesnโt have the chains of marriage tying her down. My heart sang for her freedom. I loved seeing her finally live the life she was supposed to live, if only for one night. I also loved her prankster side! There were moments when I wanted to warn Pike and tell him to take cover!! So many moments had me clutching my stomach from laughing so damn hard!
I couldnโt put Cora and Pikeโs romance down! Iโm a sucker for the whole โWhat happens in Vegas, doesnโt always stay in Vegasโ story line. I love the forbidden aspect Quinn brings to the trope. With Coraโs brother, Arlo, and Pike being on uncomfortable enemy territory drawn up lines, and Arlo already being a super protective older brother towards Cora, she decides to keep this one mistake a secretโฆ and you know what happens with secrets in romance novelsโฆ yep, there is always a moment of exposure! Numerous times, It felt like my heart was falling to the pit of my stomach. I anticipated the worse case scenario numerous times!
Overall, I have so much love for Pike and Cora!!! Meghan Quinn continues to amaze me with her wonderful characters and addicting story lines! I canโt wait to see what she releases in the future! I highly recommend this book to those who love romances that make you laugh, just as much as romances that make you cry! I canโt wait to re-read this one in the future!
