Wrap up

2020 | October Wrap Up

OCT TBR

And in the blink of an eye, we are on the last day of October.
Happy Halloween Everyone!
I hope you all have a great day with plenty of treats…. and just a few tricks.
But most importantly, be safe!

Now back to the task at hand,
I’m here today to share with you all the books I read in the month of October.
So let’s get started!!

This past month, I read eleven full length novels and six short stories.
I decided not to review the short stories I read by K. Webster, simply because there was no substance for me to review. Sure, I could talk about the raunchy sexy time moments, or all the gory details that Glam, Thomas, Terrible Lovely Thing, White Rabbit, and Laska brought to the table. But in the end, that’s all these shorts entailed.
In order for me to really connect with a dark romance, I need structure and substance. I need to feel why these characters are so dark, what roll was played in their lives to make them this vengeful and somewhat bitter person. And in the end, I didn’t get that in the span of a twenty minute read. I needed more.
But I do have to say, Blue Christmas was a fun and very sexy read. It has me intrigued and I definitely want to read more about these characters.
