Let’s Get Started!

Right now, I’m reading Talon by Carian Cole. I’ve been binging the Ashes & Embers series like crazy lately. I’m intrigued by Talon’s story and I can’t wait to read more! Carian Cole has a way of always surprising me when I least expect it.

A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT.
The concept was scary but exciting…
Marry a total stranger.
Live together for six months.
Journal everything. (Feelings. Fights. All of it.)
After six months, we each get $50K in trade for our journals, whether we stay married or not. But the goal is to commit to the experience and see if the relationship experts could put together the perfect matches.
I’ve never been lucky in love. This is my chance to find my soulmate, and hopefully, the man of my dreams.
I couldn’t wait to meet the man the experts felt was perfect for me, but my hopes were immediately shattered when I saw him at the altar.
Crap. I married my worst nightmare.
Right?!

My most recent finished book was a bit of a bust for me, and that was Madness by Kailee Reese Samuels. I liked this novel but I didn’t love it. I needed more background to understand the main character more fully. You can check out my full review here!

As a starry-eyed child, I wanted to believe my shining prince would ride up on a white horse, present a diamond ring, and carry me away to his castle. His love would be endless and our lives would be the happily ever after all girls dreamed about. I never knew the fairytale was nothing more than a lie.
I was a good girl.
Until one night, one tiny trip, one little mistake, one moment of indiscretion.
When I fell down the rabbit hole, I stumbled into the absolute fantasy, succumbing to their whims and rituals. As their very naughty girl, I embraced the nightmare and refused to ever leave.
The Darkland is mine.
And those monsters will kneel before their one true Queen.
