Happy Wednesday and welcome back to another WWW Wednesday post! If you’re new to WWW Wednesday, this is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week we answer the three W’s.
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?
So Let’s Get Started!!

I’m currently reading Shifting Gears by Janine Infante Bosco! Shifting Gears is the first book in the Satan’s Knights Prospect Trilogy. I’ve been on a series MC Romance kick lately. Last week I finished Gavin’s Song by Jamie Begley (more on that one in a moment) and I’ve been craving for more novels set in an MC world. I can’t get enough of these burly men falling for love at the drop of a dime. I”m currently at 54% in Shifting Gears and so far the suspense has me intrigued. I’m loving Bash and Lydia’s story. I’m sensing some serious angst coming up soon. I can’t wait!!
Shifting Gears
By: Janine Infante Bosco
Series: Satan’s Knights Prospect #1
Genre: MC Romance
Publisher: Self Published
Release Date: October 22nd, 2019
Format: Kindle Advanced Copy

They’re called one-night stands for a reason. If you’re lucky, there’s a lot of mind-blowing sex and then you never have to see or speak to the person again. It’s fun and uncomplicated. In my case, Bash hightailed it to the airport the next morning so I definitely never expected to run into the former prospect for the Charon MC again. But when his mother passed, he dragged his pipes all the way from Texas to New York, and now he’s crashing at the Satan’s Knights clubhouse. Which also happens to be where I work and the scene of our one-night crime. If I thought forgetting the orgasm champ was hard before, it just became damn impossible.
Grief can shake a man, make him question his whole damn life and have him taking chances he never thought he’d take. Chances like moving to Staten Island, New York. Chances like prospecting for a new club. Chances like being around a certain fiery bartender who has been in my head since we shared one incredible night. Even though I should be completely focused on earning my colors, there’s a part of me that wants to chance chasing Lydia Gallo for more than one night. I want to break down her walls and uncover every one of her secrets…patch be damned.
Editorial note: Shifting Gears is the first book in the Satan’s Knights Prospect Trilogy and is a spin-off from Khloe Wren’s Charon MC universe. It can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

This week I finished three books! The first book was Gavin’s Song by Jamie Begley! Ah, I freaking love Jamie Begley’s writing style. There’s something about her writing that completely captivates my attention from the start. I’ve been waiting a very long time to finally get a glimpse into Gavin’s head…. but a glimpse just wasn’t enough! I need more! You can check out my review HERE!

Have you ever wondered what happens to two souls destined for each other before they even meet? Well, this is it…
Gavin had believed himself untouchable. There wasn’t an inch of his body that hadn’t been taught to eliminate any threat, both to himself and others, as a Navy SEAL. Not only had he been trained to be a warrior, but a strategist who could accomplish any mission that he was given…
Until the day he was blindsided by a brother with his own agenda and was forced to accept that everything he had believed in had been an illusion.
An illusion that he was capable of love.
An illusion of the woman who had kept him sane during his darkest days.
An illusion that The Last Riders would always have his back.
Now he was being forced to accept the man they had created. A man who didn’t care about anything or anyone, living a life without reason, joy, or peace. A soul so broken that it couldn’t be fixed, searching for the one reason to keep himself breathing.
How was he supposed to know it was a song?
I also finished the In Luv Duet by Jay Crownover and Rebecca Yarros. Girl In Luv is the first book and tells a tale of a woman willing to do anything to find a date for the upcoming wedding between the ex love of her life and her evil step sister. I loved the first part of Iker and Langley’s story. I’ve never been a huge fan of the ‘fake relationship’ trope but this one definitely has me wanting to pick up more books like it. Langley Vaughn is in desperate need of a date.
But not just any date.
She’s looking for a date to the wedding from hell. It isn’t every day you’re forced to be in the bridal party while your first love marries your archnemesis…otherwise known as the world’s worst stepsister. The entire situation is a nightmare, and Langley is sick and tired of taking orders and forcing a fake smile. She’s done being the bad guy when she was the one who was wronged.
She needs to find a date who’s not afraid of her family’s money…someone willing to shake things up. She needs someone outside of her normal social circle, someone ready to go to war with the well-to-do. She needs someone who won’t back down. Someone willing to play the complicated game of tug-of-war she’s been engaged in with her family for years.
Never in a million years did she think she was going to stumble across her very own heroic heartthrob when she set her crazy plan in motion.
Not only does Iker show up for her time and time again, he also forces her to finally fight for herself.
He says he’s only there for the money…but his actions speak so much louder than his words.
Iker Alvarez would do anything and everything to get his hands on some quick cash.
Not just any cash, but enough to make sure his younger brother gets into the college of his dreams.
Thank goodness for a desperate, pretty little rich girl with too much money and her heart set on an outrageous scheme. Being in the right place at the right time might just be the answer to both of their prayers—and this smart soldier has never let a golden opportunity slide by.
Iker doesn’t mind coming to Langley’s rescue and being her plus-one…as long as the price is right.
Only, he didn’t plan on liking the blonde socialite as much as he does. He is totally unprepared for the pull he feels toward her, coupled with his growing desire to protect her from the vultures and villains living under the same roof.
He wants to be the guy who keeps her safe and gives her the courage she obviously needs to fight back… But someone else, someone far more powerful and influential than Langley’s wealthy family, has dibs on Iker’s time and on his future. He knows he isn’t the guy Langley can count on in the long run, but damn, if he doesn’t want to do everything in his power to be that man.
The second book in the Duet is Boy In Luv. This novel continues nine months later. Iker is back from deployment and let’s just say he is ready to right the many wrongs he left behind. If I’m being honest, this novel was good but I loved Girl In Luv much more. Don’t get me wrong, Boy In Luv had it’s moments where I feel even more in love with the storyline. But it kind of felt a little flat compared to the first book. You can check out my review HERE!

Distance sure as hell made his heart grow fonder… But it shattered hers into a million pieces.
Langley Vaughn knows she’s never going to make the same mistake again.
Who falls head over heels in love in a week? Langley did, and she’s regretted it every day since she handed her heart to a boy with too many secrets and too much baggage. Iker doesn’t fit into Langley’s world, and he made it clear he doesn’t want to. He left before she even got a chance to try and change his mind or to prove to him how good they could be together. Langley’s spent the last nine months healing her heart and making big plans for the future. Plans that absolutely don’t include Iker… even though he’s back, looking better than ever, and saying all the right things.
Iker Alvarez knows he made the biggest mistake of his life.
At first, the pretty blonde in the red dress was nothing more than a means to an end. But, she quickly became so much more. As soon as Iker walked away from Langley, claiming it was for her own good, he knew he screwed up. He left her so she wouldn’t worry about him when he deployed, so she wouldn’t waste her time waiting around for a guy who was never going to be good enough for her. Only, nine months and a deployment later, Iker still can’t get Langley out of his head… and he totally underestimated the hold she has on his hardened heart. He’s a guy who’s not sure how love should work, or how to go about winning his girl back…he’s about to get a crash course in both.

I had forgotten all about Jeanine Infante Bosco. I read a couple of her books back when I first started blogging and enjoyed them. I’m glad you’re enjoying them. If you like MC stuff, have you ever read Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn? It’s not as romance-y, but it’s a great trilogy and there are already a couple of spin-off books. It reminds me a lot of Sons of Anarchy.
Ohhh! I think I have Nine Minutes on my kindle. I’ll have to check and if so, I’ll definitely have to pick it up and give it a read. If it’s anything like SOA I will be in heaven!!
OMG! Yes! You must read it! I would love to hear your thoughts!!!
I’m starting it right now!
Woohoo!
