Distance sure as hell made his heart grow fonder… But it shattered hers into a million pieces.
Langley Vaughn knows she’s never going to make the same mistake again.
Who falls head over heels in love in a week? Langley did, and she’s regretted it every day since she handed her heart to a boy with too many secrets and too much baggage. Iker doesn’t fit into Langley’s world, and he made it clear he doesn’t want to. He left before she even got a chance to try and change his mind or to prove to him how good they could be together. Langley’s spent the last nine months healing her heart and making big plans for the future. Plans that absolutely don’t include Iker… even though he’s back, looking better than ever, and saying all the right things.
Iker Alvarez knows he made the biggest mistake of his life.
At first, the pretty blonde in the red dress was nothing more than a means to an end. But, she quickly became so much more. As soon as Iker walked away from Langley, claiming it was for her own good, he knew he screwed up. He left her so she wouldn’t worry about him when he deployed, so she wouldn’t waste her time waiting around for a guy who was never going to be good enough for her. Only, nine months and a deployment later, Iker still can’t get Langley out of his head… and he totally underestimated the hold she has on his hardened heart. He’s a guy who’s not sure how love should work, or how to go about winning his girl back…he’s about to get a crash course in both.

Boy In Luv is the second and final book in the In Luv Duet by Jay Crownover and Rebecca Yarros. It is highly recommended you pick up Girl In Luv and give it a read before diving into this book. This is the conclusion to Iker and Langley’s story.
9 months ago Iker made the biggest mistake of his life. He left the woman he loved alone in bed to wake up with nothing left of him but a tuxedo and a goodbye letter that told her everything he should have told her in person.
9 months ago Langley closed off her heart from all mankind for good. Now she’s a college graduate with nothing but hope’s and dreams in her futures horizon. Until her eyes lock with the deep brown eyes that still haunt her dreams. Iker’s back and he has some serious explaining and groveling to do. But is it really that simple to let a man in once he’s broken a heart?

As soon as I finished Girl In Luv I immediately dived into Boy In Luv. I can’t help it, I had to know if Iker and Langley made it to the end. I needed answers and I’m so freaking relieved I didn’t have to wait to get those answers.
Just like Girl In Luv, Boy In Luv is a novella length novel full of steam and heart emojis! It was a bit touch and go for a meer minute when I didn’t know if Iker and Langley would find their way back to one another. But as most romance novels go, everything eventually works itself out in the end.
I rated this one a 4 star because even though I loved it, I was left wanting more. I also felt like this could have been told in one full length novel. I wanted more drama and more time for Iker and Langley’s reunion. That’s just me being spoiled and a tad bit selfish though.
Overall, Iker and Langley’s story is just as sweet as it is sexy. I loved the character buildup. I loved seeing Langley grow into an even stronger version of herself and I loved seeing Iker fall in love for the first time. This is a great story that shows true love in its finest form… But I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. I want more!
