Welcome back to another Lazy Sunday! Today will be all about the books I read this week, books that just released, and books releasing next week. But first, how crazy is it that April is almost over? Seriously! It seems like the older I get the faster time flies by. This shit is insane!

Last weekend my boyfriend (Mr. Man) and I decided to try out a local used book store! I’m addicted to finding thrifty deals on books. well, it seems I bought eleven books… I have a problem. But the good news, I only spent forty dollars! My April book haul post will be going up on Tuesday, be on the lookout for that there are some great books on my list! Monday Mr. Man and I went to the eye doctor for a routine exam. I had my eyes dilated for the first time ever. That was a trip I never want to take again. I legit felt like bella swan when she first turned into a vampire. My eyes kept trying to focus on every little thing. It was messed up and gave me quite the headache. So I napped for a few hours… As for the rest of the week, everything was pretty much uneventful. Besides going grocery shopping and laughing at how Mr. Man can make a friend anywhere even in the checkout line at our local grocery store was the best part of my week. Actually, I lied. The best part of my week was receiving some book mail from Heidi McLaughlin, but we’ll get to that in a few!

I read three books this week and I rated all three fives stars! These three books are extremely different from one another and that’s exactly what I was looking for and I think that’s why I rated them five stars each. They were all great addicting reads.

The first book I finished was Pieces Of Us by A.L. Jackson!
I absolutely adore A.L. Jackson’s imagination and the fact that she always has the power to make my heart hurt but then heal it up is something I’ll never be able to understand.
How do you do it! Mack and Izzy may just be my favorite characters in A.L. Jackson history! There is something so fragile about this novel, any minute you know everything will shatter and break into a million pieces, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. That’s all I’m giving away, you all are just going to have to read it for yourself to understand the true devastation this happily ever after comes from.

The Second book I finished this week was Pretty Reckless by L.J. Shen.
I’m currently in the process of writing my review for this novel. I always find it difficult to review books that I absolutely loved and devoured. The words escape me and I’m left completely speechless. That’s where I’m at when talking about Daria and Penn’s story. I’m completely speechless! This book was an addiction for me, I picked it up at eleven p.m. and around two in the morning my body was begging me to put this one down but my head and my hurt kept making those only one more chapter promises. The crankiness and sleep depravity was all worth it in the end! So take this as a warning, if you plan on reading Pretty Reckless by L.J. Shen, make damn sure you have a cleared schedule!

The third book I read this week was Fighting For Our Forever by Heidi McLaughlin.
I received a paperback advanced copy of Fighting For Our Forever (The Beaumont Series – Next Generation) in the mail! I am so in love with this series. I spent all of Saturday sitting on my couch, bundled under covers, and devouring this book! It’s such a sweet romance with a tiny bit of angst. Heidi McLaughlin is another author I’ve come to appreciate and adore in the romance world. Ajay Ballard and Jameson (Whiskey) Foster where each others first love and first heartache. This is a second chance romance that had a smile permanently etched on my face! There aren’t many sexy time scenes in this book, and honestly, i loved that most. This emotionally heartwarming story wasn’t fueled by lust, but by love. I connected with the characters on a deeper level. I adore their relationship for what it is. If you love sweet as hell romances, without the bells and whistles that come in the form of erotic sexy time scenes, this is definitely the book for you!

I’m currently reading an advanced copy of Under The Northern Lights by S.C. Stephens.
I’m only a few pages in so I can’t really say if I like this one or not, but judging the blurb, this book is right up my alley! I honestly love books that take place in the wilderness and you add a mountain man to the mix! I’m all in! I can’t wait to read more! Under The Northern Lights has been on my tbr for the longest time and on my tbr since December of 2018! I can’t believe its taken me this long to dive into this arc. Seriously!

There have been so many books that released this past week! I’m a little behind on getting to them, but these ones are way up on my tbr list!

One thing I find myself being impatient about is all the upcoming book releases I want to read right now! I’ve never been very good at the waiting game. But next week a few books on my most anticipated list are releasing! EEK! I’m so freaking excited!!!!

The Devil Don’t Sleep (Deluxe) by Brantley Gilbert!
This week I’ve found myself leaning more towards the country side of the music spectrum. Right now I’m listening to Brantley Gilbert’s The Devil Don’t Sleep album with commentary. I find myself totally geeking out when I find an album release on spotify that has the artist describing how the song came to be and what the true story is. The Devil Don’t Sleep is one of my favorite albums that came from 2017! two years later and I’m still completely obsessed with this album.

Well that about sums up my week. Thank you everyone for checking out my second Lazy Sunday post! I’m about to head downstairs and get started on another round of laundry. I absolutely loathe laundry days. It’s never ending. What are you all up to on this beautiful, yet cold, Sunday? Let me know in the comments!
