WWW Wednesday | April 24th, 2019

It has been a long minute since the last time I participated in WWW Wednesday. My life has been completely hectic on the weekends so instead of posting a Lazy Sunday post, I’ve decided to go back to this bookish meme. My life is an endless array of running the roads and now that spring is FINALLY here in Michigan I’m trying to get my yard cleaned up and my flower and garden beds ready! I cannot wait for summer to get here.

If you’re new to WWW Wednesday here’s what it’s all about: WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week there are three questions to answer.

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?

Let’s get started.

I’m Currently Reading:

I just picked up my advanced copy of Pretty Reckless by LJ Shen! I’m almost through with chapter one and I’m already hooked! LJ Shen has an addictive way with words. I’m not going to say i’m obsessed. I can say the way this novel is going, It’s going to be a very long night for me.

We were supposed to be best friends
But turned out to be worst enemies…

Penn
They say revenge is a dish best served cold
I’d had four years to stew on what Daria Followhill did to me, and now my heart was completely iced.
I took her first kiss.
She took the only thing I loved.
I was poor.
She was rich.
The good thing about circumstances? They can change. Fast.
Now, I’m her parents’ latest shiny project.
Her housemate. Her tormentor. The captain of the rival football team she hates so much.
Yeah, baby girl, say it—I’m your foster brother.
There’s a price to pay for ruining the only good thing in my life, and she’s about to shell out some serious tears.
Daria Followhill thinks she is THE queen. I’m about to prove to her that she’s nothing but a spoiled princess.

Daria
Everyone loves a good old unapologetic punk.
But being a bitch? Oh, you get slammed for every snarky comment, cynical eye roll, and foot you put in your adversaries’ way.
The thing about stiletto heels is that they make a hell of a dent when you walk all over the people who try to hurt you.
In Penn Scully’s case, I pierced his heart until he bled out, then left it in a trash can on a bright summer day.
Four years ago, he asked me to save all my firsts for him.
Now he lives across the hall, and I want nothing more than to be his last everything.
His parting words when he gave me his heart were that nothing in this world is free.
Now? Now he is making me pay.

I’m also reading a kindle copy of Rider’s Revenge by Jamie Begley! I am almost finished with my author reading order challenge! I have 5 more books to go! I seriously just dived into Rider’s Revenge last night and have only read a chapter. I can’t tell you much on how I feel about it but what I can tell you is I’m so freaking intrigued by this man, as I am with all the last riders! I want to know what makes this man tick! I can’t wait to get back to it after I finish Pretty Reckless.

Jo Turner has been waiting five, long years to finally turn revenge into vengeance. Using Rider, the pretty-faced manwhore, is simply the price she is willing to pay to satiate her desire for revenge. Little does she know, she makes herself a target from the one thing Rider has sworn to give his life to protect—The Last Riders.

When you wake the soldier, be prepared for the consequences.
Rider is going to teach her a hard lesson: revenge is a double-edged sword … and it always cuts both ways.

But here I am, thirteen years later.
