WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week there are three questions to answer.
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?

I’m currently reading an advanced copy of Recklessly Ever After by Heather Van Fleet. I’m on the last chapter. I liked this novel but I didn’t love it as much as I loved Max and Lia’s story. This one was just okay for me. The story line didn’t grasp my attention as the other story did. The Chemistry between Gavin and McKenna isn’t as strong as the other couples in the series. It had a lot of potential but for me this one was just okay.

After the hell I’ve been through in the Marines–in life–there’s nothing I crave more than routine, stability, peace. Until McKenna Brewer walks into my life.
She’s impulsive, fiery, tempting as hell, and everything I don’t need. But when she offers me a night of no-strings-attached passion, I can’t resist.
When our night together has unexpected consequences, I can’t help but think this might be the perfect opportunity to show McKenna just how much I want her.
The only problem? She doesn’t do forevers. But forever is exactly what I need with her.

I finished three novels this week. The first book I finished was an advanced copy of The Boy I Grew Up With by TIJAN. I am still freaking out over this one! I have been waiting for a long time to get my hands on Heather and Channing’s story and finally….IT’S HERE!! Check out my review here!

I have loved Channing Monroe all my life.
In first grade, he asked for my Trapper Keeper.
I hit him in the head with it.
Third grade, we were best friends. We kissed in seventh grade.
Eighth grade, he turned into a bad boy and the rest was a tumultuous storm.
Growing up, the problem was never love for us.
Bad times. Good times. There were times when I felt our love in every inch of my body, vibrating, making me feel like it could bring me back to life.
The problem was us.
The problem is that we’re living in two different worlds now.
Fallen Crest and its millionaires for me. Roussou and their criminals for him. I was thriving in mine and he was running his.
But…
But there were nights I felt we couldn’t be further apart than we were, and there were nights I felt we shared the same heartbeat.
When was it time?
When was it time to either sacrifice, make a change, or walk away from the boy I grew up with?
The Second book I finished was an advanced copy of I Bet You by Ilsa Madden-Mills. I Bet You was a fun read but a little on the predictable side. Check out my review here.

Sexy Athlete: I bet you…
Penelope Graham: Burn in hell, quarterback.
The text is random but Penelope figures out exactly who “Sexy Athlete” is. And why she shouldn’t take his wager.
Ryker Voss.
Football star.
Walks on water and God’s gift to women.
Just ask him.
His bet? He promises Penelope he’ll win her the heart of the guy she’s been crushing on. His plan—good old-fashioned jealousy. Once her crush sees her kissing Ryker, he’ll realize what he’s missing. Sounds legit, right? The only question is…why is Ryker being so nice to her?
Penelope Graham.
Virgin.
Lover of sparkly vampires and calculus.
His mortal enemy.
Penelope knows she shouldn’t trust a jock, but what’s a girl to do when she needs a date to Homecoming? And Ryker’s keeping a secret, another bet, one that could destroy Penelope’s heart forever.
Will the quarterback score the good girl or will his secrets mean everyone loses this game of love?
*Author’s Note: This is a standalone sports romance with an HEA.
**You do not have to have read I Dare You, although you should if you love jocks and nerdy heroines. Xo
I also finished The Catch by K. Bromberg! Scout and Easton are legit EVERYTHING! I’m kicking myself for not picking The Player Duet up sooner. I can safely say this duet is on my list of favorite baseball romances!

After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone.

Peace Love and Happy Reading,

I get so happy every time I see that Tijan book. It was so good! I’m so sad I’m done reading it, though. I need more Fallen Crest related books.
I’m also craving more of that Sam, Mason, and Logan type drama…. any and all recommendations are welcomed 😂
Hmm… I went ahead and read Anti-Stepbrother since I hadn’t read it yet. Have you read that one? Or Broken & Screwed? I’m trying to think of other authors that would be similar and I’m coming up blank right now.
I read and loved broken and screwed. Also Anti-Stepbtother and the jaded series… I basically read everything by Tijan 😂
Maybe the More Than series by Jay McLean? Or Kick Push? Have you read her? Not quite as dark. The only other author that comes to mind is Erin Watt and their Royals series.
The Royal series was great. I haven’t read Jay McLean yet…hmmmm… maybe I’ll give this author a try.
I really enjoy her books. If you do give her a try, I hope you enjoy her writing. Oh, and another one I would recommend would be Jessica Park. Have you read her? I loved her Left Drowning and Flat Out Love series.
I haven’t read anything by Jessica Park…yet…but Left For Drowning sounds really good! I just added it to my tbr!
Yay!
