Blurb:

Sexy AthleteI bet you…
Penelope GrahamBurn in hell, quarterback.

The text is random but Penelope figures out exactly who “Sexy Athlete” is. And why she shouldn’t take his wager.

Ryker Voss.
Football star.
Walks on water and God’s gift to women.
Just ask him.

His bet? He promises Penelope he’ll win her the heart of the guy she’s been crushing on. His plan—good old-fashioned jealousy. Once her crush sees her kissing Ryker, he’ll realize what he’s missing. Sounds legit, right? The only question is…why is Ryker being so nice to her?

Penelope Graham.
Virgin.
Lover of sparkly vampires and calculus.
His mortal enemy.

Penelope knows she shouldn’t trust a jock, but what’s a girl to do when she needs a date to Homecoming? And Ryker’s keeping a secret, another bet, one that could destroy Penelope’s heart forever.

Will the quarterback score the good girl or will his secrets mean everyone loses this game of love?

*Author’s Note: This is a standalone sports romance with an HEA.

**You do not have to have read I Dare You, although you should if you love jocks and nerdy heroines. Xo

“I respect the game- even love it -but I don’t fall for football players, especially high and mighty quarterbacks who think they walk on water.”

Penelope Graham is a woman on a mission. Her mission is to Ignore the jocks and go for a man who is the safe choice. Given the fact that her profootballer of a dad stepped out on her and her mom when she was just a baby, I don’t blame her. As am avid romance author, she finds her inspiration in everyday life. When Ryker Voss steps onto her radar, she can’t fight the feeling and her writer’s mind takes over.

Ryker Voss hasn’t been able to get Penelope off his mind ever since she wrote that vicious article about him in the newspaper. It was only supposed to be a bet between football players. He was only supposed to ask her on a date and then not show up. But when Penelope denies his requests, he starts to feel something for this woman. She’s not the typical jersey chaser, in fact she despises football players, and that’s something he can’t get off his mind.

When Ryker offers to help Penelope catch the eye of the man of her dreams he doesn’t mention that plan involves a kiss that will irrevocably have her falling under his spell. Penelope is soon to wonder if Connor really is that man, or if the man for her has been right under her nose the entire time.

My Thoughts:

This novel is so freaking cute! I love how Penelope isn’t the typical woman we see in romance novels. Her self confidence is something to be admired. I loved watching this relationship grow and evolve from friendship to something more. Even through the beginning I felt the spark between them and I simply couldn’t get enough.

Penelope’s backstory and Ryker’s mesh perfectly. Even though these two are from two different worlds where popularity is concerned, they have so much in common. So when a bad man like Archer tries to get in between and destroy a good thing, it really pissed me off. I’m thinking Archer needs to be attacked by a wild bear or something out of the ordinary. This man is venom. I’m curious to see if Ilsa Madden-Mills is going to add his book to the hook up series. I’m intrigued to see why this man is so freaking vengeful.

Okay getting back on track, I really enjoyed I Bet You. I loved the chemistry and the connection between the characters and I’m very intrigued by some of the secondary characters. I can’t wait to read more from this series! If you love romances with quirky girls meeting super stud sports stars, I highly recommend you check this series out! It’s so entertaining!
