Synopsis:
Tall. Muscled. Tattooed.
Shane King was seriously hot, and seriously not a good guy.
He went by the name Ghost with his motorcycle club, and he was now their national vice president.
When Shane and his club arrived in town, they began doing favors for my family.
I didn’t know why. I didn’t want to know.
Favors came with strings attached. I didn’t want strings attaching me to the Red Demons.
Shane was a different beast, though.
I should steer clear of him, except I couldn’t.
He was everywhere, and he always looked like he wanted to tie me up in all sorts of strings.
A part of me wanted to let him.
A part of me yearned to let him.
But no.
Shane might act like the hero, but he wasn’t.
He was the villain.
And I was about to learn that the strings that came with Shane…
…they would be my unraveling.
** This is a standalone motorcycle club romance.

Frisco is a motorcycle club standalone written by Tijan. I remember the first time hearing about the Red Demons MC and immediately wanting a story based on this world! I’m a huge fan of Motorcycle Club romances, in fact, I think It may just be my favorite sub-genre in romance. I’m also a huge fan of Tijan’s, so when I heard she was finally writing an MC novel, the excitement I felt was inevitable! Tijan gave me all the things I wanted. Suspense, Heat, and a happily ever after!
Because this is a suspenseful story, I’ve decided to leave out my detailed synopsis portion of this review in order to avoid spoiling those who, like me, are late to reading Frisco by Tijan. Instead, I’m going to dive into my thoughts on this novel.
Everytime I pick up a novel written by Tijan, a sense of excitement and wonder fills my spirit. Frisco definitely had me reading this book in one setting! Adulting was put on the back burner for the day. Shane and Kali’s story had me fighting the lust bug! The main thing about TIjan’s novels that I love is the strength she adds to her female characters. Kali is a badass! She doesn’t let fear stand in her way of helping people in need or standing up for herself. I loved witnessing her warrior spirit!
And then we has Shane. I freaking loved Shane and his ability to morph into two characters. He was Shane with Kali, but Ghost to the Red Demon’s MC. This man is tough as nails, but beneath the surface all of his choices made were sacrifices to his soul. My heart broke for him and the choices he had to make throughout this novel. Especially when those choices were null and void, because the plan was already set in stone. And that’s the only spoiler you’ll get from me.
If I had to pick a favorite secondary/supporting character, it would hands down be Harper!! I loved the fact that Harper wasn’t afraid to pry into his best friends business. And herein lies the reason why i dropped a star on my rating. We were given a lot of time with Harper and Aly (Kali’s best friends) and then POOOOOF it was like they disappeared into thin air, until the epilogue. I would have loved to see more between the three of them. Instead of glimpses weaved into an epilogue.
Overall, I really enjoyed Frisco by Tijan! I’m kicking myself for waiting this long to read this novel!! Shane and Kali’s chemistry was pure FIRE! I couldn’t get enough of these two!
