3 Ways My Reading Habits Have Changed Throughout The Years.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted byย That Artsy Reader Girl.

Todayโ€™s category: How My Reading Habits Have Changed Over Time

I only have three changed reading habits to share with you all today. So let’s get started!

The first habit I noticed is, I’m a lot more picky when it comes to choosing advanced copies. When I first started my blog, every single upcoming new release intrigued me. I was reading 15 ARCs in one month. With home renovations, gardening, and adulting, my time for reading has become limited in certain months out of the year… I have to be a bit more choosy when it comes to the titles I’m reading.

The second habit I noticed, I’m not reading as many books as I used to read in one month so my reading goal challenge on Goodreads has dropped from 200 books a year, to 100 books a year. I’m not even sure I can make my reading goal this year. Hopefully in a year, or two, I can get back to reaching 200 books. We shall see.

And the third, and final, habit change I noticed, I don’t really read outside of the Romance genre anymore. It’s been years since I last sat down and read an autobiography or something nonfiction.

What reading habits changed for you throughout the years?

  1. Oh, my gosh! Fifteen ARCs in one month. I’ll probably only do that in a year. Maybe a little more but I know I can only read one-two books a week so I try to keep my requests to a minimum.

I’m with you on staying within the romance genre. I know I’m going to like it and anything else I read feels a little forced. Although my therapist has me reading a book on boundaries. So far I checked it out from the library but that’s as far as I’ve gotten with it.
