I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this world full of hockey hunks and their kiddos. My heart is overflowing with love!
In My Own Words:
Zara Petrov thought she had found the love of her life. She even went as far as choosing a wedding dress for the wedding that was to occur in mere months. But on the same day she found her perfect dress, she also found out her fiancee wasn’t as perfect as she had thought he was. Finding out her perfect man had been living a double life and having an affair for their entire relationship dug the knife in deep. But Zara has matured, and even though something in her is telling her revenge is the answer, Zara decides against it and goes on her own little adventure to a southern state….
Gabriel thought he found his perfect love at a young age. But the older they became, the more they grew apart. Now, he’s happy raising his son with his ex-wife. Co-parenting is easy when there is no drama. But beneath the surface, Gabriel feels like he’s missing something or someone. My Thoughts:
Oh my heart, Natasha Madison went and stole my heart again! One thing I have to say is that Natasha definitely knows her way around adding hilarious family banter to her novels. I love how these characters, one after another, flow effortlessly together. And trust me, there are a LOT of characters in this world! I’m loving all of it!! There is never a dull moment with this family and all of their chaos.
Usually, I discuss the characters and what I loved about them, but today, I’m going to discuss the premise of this story first! I’m a SUCKER when it comes to the Country Boy-Meets-City Girl trope, especially when you add that with a surprise pregnancy. EEK! This novel was a dream to read! I also loved the vast detail Natasha Madison added to the scenes. It felt like I was sitting across the trail and watching Zara and Gabriel find their happily ever after. There was not one single moment that felt dull within this novel! And that’s why I continue to read this series and this author.
Now let’s talk about the characters. Starting with Zara Petrov! This woman is stubbornly independent and as fierce as they come. The only thing is that her stubbornness has been known to get her in trouble a time or two! I loved the hilarity that came from Zara’s character. I also loved the fact that she never could admit when she was wrong. She just kept pushing and spinning the issue until it was in her favor. Oh my heart, I laughed so hard during the scenes between her and her cousin’s arguing. But then there were moments of vulnerability that she showed. I think I loved these moments a little bit more than the humor. I loved seeing the soft side of Zara. Especially where Gabriel and his son are concerned.
And then we have Gabriel. This man lives by a certain code, always holds open a woman’s door, works hard, and loves harder than you can possibly love. This is why I instantly knew he would be the perfect fit for Zara. This man was grounded, if that makes sense. He lived an honest life with a slow lifestyle. His family is his number one priority. Anybody he brings into his inner circle is going to be cherished. This man is sweet and swoony to the public. But behind closed doors, this man is a beast! I was literally swooning one moment and fanning my face the very next! As I said before, never a dull moment!
I loved how Zara and Gabriel’s different personalities balanced each other out. My heart felt their connection right from the start. I also loved Zara’s connection with Gabriel’s son, Colson. One thing I wish for, more moments between these two. I wanted to see Gabriel more in his dad mode, and I wanted that connection between Zara and Colson to shine brighter than it shined. Call me a spoiled reader, I just wanted a few more of these endearing moments! And that’s why I initially dropped a ½ star off my rating….
However, as you can see, my rating is a five-star rating. I added that ½ star back after that last epilogue. The segway into Natasha Madison’s next series cut me deep! OMG, I’m going to need all the tissues because I have a feeling her next book is going to be full of tears! I can honestly say, I’m not ready.
Overall, I loved everything about Meant For Gabriel by Natasha Madison! If you are a fan of single dad romances with swoony and steamy vibes, grab this book! If you love country boy meets city girl tropes with a last minute surprise pregnancy added in. You should definitely pick this one up today! Meant For Gabriel by Natasha Madison can be read as a standalone! ENJOY!!
