Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted byย That Artsy Reader Girl.
Todayโs category: Books I Was Assigned to Read in School (These can be books you loved or hated. Or just tolerated. Bonus points if you give us a tiny review of your thoughts!)
I’m not feeling today’s category. It’s been almost nineteen years since I graduated from high school. In all honesty, there are only a couple novels that I remember being assigned to read in my English, Reading Exporations, and Sociology courses. Those books are basic books assigned in high school. The Whipping Boy by: Sid Fleischman, A Child Called ‘It’ by: Dave Pelzer, Lord of the Flies by: William Golding, and The Jungle by: Upton Sinclair are the ones that I remember the most. And we all know what these books are about. The only one I didn’t make it through was The Jungle…. this book was so hard to read in high school. I needed total quiet to actually understand what was going on… and still, that didn’t always work out. Maybe, now that I’m older, I’ll dive into it again. I mean, it’s been eighteen years since I last tried…
So, today I’m sharing the ten most recent additions to my kindle unlimited shelf. There have been a lot of new releases lately and I’m dying to pick them all up! So without further wait, here are the ten books I just added to my KU Shelf.

I should get back to reading Ginger Scottโs books!
I’ve only read the one so far, and I’m already blown away by her writing style.
A Child Called It was so disturbing. I didn’t read it for school, but because a friend reccommended it.
I agree! It was really disturbing. ๐ My heart is still broken for that little boy.
I read A CHILD CALLED IT in high school too. It wasn’t assigned; it was just one I read on my own. Such a sad story!
I hope you enjoy all these books when you get to them.
Happy TTT!

I know, it was so heartbreaking…
I hope you like all of these books.
Thank you!
Well gosh, I know this wasn’t even the main topic of your post, but I haven’t thought about The Whipping Boy in AGES! I don’t remember if it was assigned or a read-aloud, but I still remember my elementary-school FURY at the injustice of the title concept, and the revenge fantasies I dreamt up…
My thoughts, exactly!
