The Sins We Hide is the first novel in the Iron Outlaws MC Series written by S. Cole. If you are a fan of Motorcycle Club Romances that give suspense, heat, and danger on every page turned, this may just be the book for you.

The first book in the Iron Outlaws series is a juicy friends to enemies to lovers romance with forbidden best friend/President of the MC’s little sister vibes. YES, PLEASE!!

Gwen has lived the past __ years in the witness protection program with her mother after fleeing the Iron Outlaws in the middle of the night. Or so, that is the story her mother would like her to remember. But adult Gwen views those memories differently. Now, after a tragedy hits home, Gwen finds herself running back to the one place she promised her mother she’d never go, to the Irol Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

The role of vice presidency for Clutch was inevitable. But never did he imagine the position would fall at his feet sooner than he thought. After the death of Camelot, the OG president, things quickly fall into place. Now he’s standing tall and proud beside his best friend, and newly appointed president.

What was supposed to be a day of celebration quickly takes a turn for the worst, when a blast from the club’s past comes bursting through the door. Gwen is seeking protection, the only problem is, her mother and her are viewed as traitors in the clubs eyes. That is, until, secrets from the past are brought to light and to make matters even more intense, Clutch still harbors the same feelings for Gwen as he did when he was a teenager. Will he break his president’s rule and start something with Gwen, or will he let her ride off into the sunset, without him, once again… hmm…. Only time will tell.

My Thoughts:

Holy Tension! This is the first book I’ve read from author S. Cole (Scarlett Cole) and I have to say, I’m already a fan! She brought everything to the sub-genre, Motorcycle Club Romance, that I’m always in search of. When diving into an MC Romance novel, I expect there to be loads of danger and a hint of suspense, and S. Cole DELIVERED! From the first chapter, I was on the edge of my seat already preparing myself for what’s to come. Yes, I was that invested. My heart was thundering in my chest almost as if it were mimicking the roar of a motorcycle. EEK! I can’t wait to continue on with this series! But before I start the second book in the series, let’s discuss this first book. The Sins We Hide by S. Cole is a deliciously forbidden tale with a stay away from my sister/brother’s best friend vibe. If you love tropes with this content, I highly suggest you pick this novel up and give it a read!

Let’s talk about these characters, starting with Gwen. I loved the fact that Gwen was a bit independent and not so quick to trust the MC. I also loved how she gave back what was dished to her. She was born into the MC World, and that strength that was ingrained into her at a small age, never went away. I loved Gwen, and her ability to fight Clutch at all costs, but I also loved the fact that she was able to be his soft place to land when things got extremely too tough. My heart loved these gentle moments the most.

And then we have Clutch. I loved the fact that he wanted to be Landon when it came to Gwen, instead of Clutch, the nickname given to him by his brothers. My heart melted so many times due to this man being swoony with a hint of Alpha. I loved the tenderness he had towards Gwen. I loved the immediate attraction that he tried, not so hard, to fight. This man was a goner from the first sight and S. Cole did a great job of bringing that emotion to the scene! My heart was in my hands ready to hand it over from the moment I was introduced to this hero! I do have to say, Clutch’s story through me for a loop. In all honesty, I can now say that I did NOT predict that outcome. My heart broke over and over and over on and endless cycle for Clutch’s discovery.

Now onto the reason why I dropped a star on my rating. It is simply due to the fact that I wanted more of a backstory from Gwen. Maybe some flashback moments of her, her twin brother, and Clutch being younger. I don’t know, I just felt like there was more to Gwen’s story than what was initially told.

Overall, I loved The Sins We Hide by S. Cole and I can’t wait to continue on with this series in the very near future!! I think I may have found my newest MC obsession! We shall see.
