Synopsis:
A dislike to lovers stand-alone from small-town romance author Brooke Montgomery about a barrel racer who loses her memory and the rowdy cowboy she once hated but no longer remembers…
I’ve hated Landen Hollis for the past eleven years.
It’s no secret to anyone around us that I don’t like him, but no one knows why. I can’t tell them or I’d risk my pro barrel racing career that I love. Being at the top of my game and on the way to winning it all, he’s the last person I need interfering.
It’s bad enough that he’s one of my trainers and unavoidable, but he relentlessly seeks me out and pushes my buttons.
Even when I nearly choke to death, he’s there, saving my life.
We’re the opposite in every way. I thrive on routine and sticking to it.
He’s a playboy who never has serious relationships or commits to anything besides annoying me.
But then everything takes a turn for the worse when I get a concussion and forget who he is.
My world flips upside down when I wake up not recognizing the sexiest man I’ve ever seen—a six-foot-something, blue-eyed cowboy who’s looking at me like I’m his dream girl.
He tells me we shouldn’t get close because it’s only a matter of time before I get my memory back. And although I can’t remember why I hated him, I want to roll the dice and see where it takes me.
When flashes of the past resurface, and I start to remember everything, my life unravels from the secret I’ve been keeping—and what I never wanted him to know.
But a murder scandal always stirs up gossip in a Southern small town.
Fall With Me is book 3 in the Sugarland Creek series. Each book in this Southern, small town series is a stand-alone and ends in a happily ever after.

Fall With Me is the third standalone romance novel in Brooke Montgomery’s Sugarland Creek series. Hold on to your pony, it’s now time we see Landen Hollis find love in the woman who’d rather chew on leather than fall in love with Landen. Oh, how I love a good enemies to lovers romance!
The night Landen witnessed his friend die, was the night he made a promise to himself, the culprit of his friend’s death would never see the light of day outside of prison. He’ll testify at every parole hearing if he has to.
Ellie made a vow to become the top barrel racer in the league so she could take care of both her and her cousin. And with her cousin’s parole hearing coming up, Ellie must step up her game and call in the big shots to help train her to be the best, even if he who shall not be named is linked to Noah Hollis. She’ll do everything in her power to steer clear of Landen. He is, after all, the reason why her cousin is sitting in prison.
But when a tragedy occurs during a competition and Ellie loses a vital part of her memory, she finds her heart calling out to the man she forgot about. Truths will be exposed, and hearts will break in this enemies to lovers romance with an amnesia twist.
My Thoughts:
Brooke Montgomery has a way with putting her all into the novels she writes. There is never a moment when I’m left emotionless. Every moment is filled with emotion. Whether it be a joyous occasion or a brutally heartbroken moment, I feel it all and that is one reason why I keep coming back to this author. I love the way she puts her own little spin on tropes and twists to her plots. There is never a dull moment.
Let’s start with Landen. I loved how playful Landen is in this novel. His overall attitude towards life is an addiction I don’t want to quit! This man made it his mission to find out why Ellie hated him from their very first interaction. Trust me when I say, this is the slowest slow burn in the history of novels. So if that is something you are interested in reading, this is for you! My heart loved Landen’s character so much. Everything from his compassion to his anger and revenge mode really had me vibing with this character and his personality.
And then we have Ellie. I’m going to be honest and say the first half of Fall With Me I wasn’t feeling Ellie. Her personality felt very immature for her age. In all honesty, this is the main reasoning behind why I dropped 1 ½ stars on my rating. I couldn’t vibe with her being manipulated so easily and her attitude towards Landen that was a result of that manipulation. I was a tad bit annoyed… But when the accident happened resulting in Ellie’s amnesia, my dislike for this character turned into adoration. In an odd way of saying, she started to become more enjoyable to be around. I actually feared and hoped she’d never get those pieces of her memory back. I’m not going to spoil you at this moment, let’s just say, Brooke Montgomery doesn’t disappoint.
Overall, I liked the first half and enjoyed the hell out of the second half to Fall With Me by Brooke Montgomery. I wanted and hoped to love this novel in its entire form, but that wasn’t the case with this one. However, I do have to say, this one landed me with a smile on my face and a racing heart! I can’t wait to see what’s coming next in the Sugarland Creeks Series! I am ready for so much more!!
