Synopsis:

Love is the human condition. Without it, life is devoid of meaning.

Thankfully, I have a man whom I love with every fiber of my being. He is my world, and with his son, we will have a glorious, perfect, beautiful life together.

He just doesn’t know it yet.

There are some bumps in the road on my way to him, but all great love stories have hurdles.

Romeo and Juliet fought against a familial feud.

Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy had to sort out his views of her family.

Noah and Allie face timing and an ever changing world.

But I know we’ll have it easier. When I come clean, he’ll accept me, because our love is written in the stars; Hudson Gray is my fate.

He’ll see that everything I’ve done is to prove that I’m his, through and through. That he has me, all of me, and all my love.

Forever.

No take backs.

Because this novel is full of twists and turns, I’m not going to dive too deep into what this book is about. So my synopsis of the novel is going to be like my patience, Short….and…. Not so sweet!

All My Love is the first book in the Twisted Sister’s Series by Daisy Jane. This novel features a twenty year old woman (Dahlia *Dolly*) who is desperately in love with her 38 year old neighbor (Hudson). In fact, she views Hudson as her soulmate and has for the past five years. But it wasn’t the right time to show her love to him. She had to sit and wait for the universe to force him to figure it out himself… that is until someone new in town threatens her happily ever after… The universe be damned, Dolly is set to show Hudson he and his little boy belong to her and only to her.. At all costs!

My Thoughts:

I picked up this novel due to it’s blurb and the fact that I recently read a novel by Daisy Jane and ended up loving her style of writing and close attention to detail. I was intrigued by the Female Main Character stalking concept and the age gap vibe. So I requested an arc on that… and that alone.

Let’s start with the positive and then work our way through to the negative. The main characters are Dolly and Hudson. And let’s not forget Hudson’s Son Bear. I actually loved the chemistry between the three… pre-crazy vibes. I loved how caring Dolly was with Bear, I loved that Bear was enamoured by Dolly, and I loved the fact that Hudson had a protective streak when it came to the two of them. My heart felt this situation was fate at its finest… Dolly is the artist, mastering her craft in painting and selling handmade painted cards. But there’s something about Dolly that most people don’t know. On the exterior you see a sweet woman who wears her heart on the surface but beneath the surface is a woman who will go out of her way to manipulate fate… And let the stalking tendencies commence… We’ll dive deeper into all of that in a minute.

And then we have Hudson. He shared his dreams with his wife. Raising a family on a farm and living the good country lifestyle… that is until Hudson came home one day to find his wife and his best friend together. Now, he’s the single father of a little boy with no intention of letting another person in their life… That is until his eyes start to see Dolly as more than the woman next door… If there wasn’t an 18 year age difference between him and her. He’d welcome Dolly into his life. But that age difference makes him see his thoughts as being impure. He’ll do anything to wipe his mind from Dolly, even date someone his sister sets him up with…

And then we have Hudson’s sweet, adorable little boy, Bear. I think I loved Bear’s character the most. And I especially loved the way Daisy Jane portrayed this little boy. He was sweet but definitely a lot to handle. I swear, there were moments when I felt anxious with this little one’s antics. This little one was the main reason I kept reading this novel. I had to make sure he and his daddy had their epic happily ever after..

Now, let’s get to the negative aspects, and this is strictly my opinion, and the reason why I rated this novel a two star rating. I’m all about letting your freak flag fly in romance novels and in real life, just as long as you’re not physically hurting someone and/or going against someone’s consent. With that being said, I’d like to warn future readers, if you are squeamish where taboo/fetish vibes are concerned, this is NOT the book for you.

The best way to start with negative *in my opinion* aspect is to just dive in. So let’s start with Dolly’s stalking. The things this woman did took stalking to a whole new level. I have a slight germ issue, so I was literally trying to get as far away from my kindle as I possibly could. I’m all about sneaking into someone’s house and taking a sneak peek while they’re away…. IN ROMANCE NOVELS ONLY…. But the things Dolly did in that house while Hudson was away had me wanting to close the chapter and move on from this book. I mean, his toothbrush… REALLY. And Dolly, oh Dolly, how do you know that was Hudson’s coffee cup in the sink. For all she knew, it could have been his sister’s cub… And that’s not even the worst of it! It seemed to me like this author tried to fit in as many fetish/ tabbo moments as she could in one book. And sadly, those moments took my mind on a different roller coaster. After a while, the chemistry between Dolly and Hudson started to disappear for me… and in its place I started to feel worried for Hudson and his little boy. I wanted Hudson to find a nice girl and settle down… UGH! I literally ranted to Mr. Man for an hour about this novel. I mean, Dolly lost both her mother and her father at a young age, and was raised by her two older sisters. I wanted to know more about where this obsessive streak comes from. But I felt that all we were given was the stalking, the OCD, and the artistry.

And then we have Hudson. I loved this man’s personality… UNTIL, I didn’t. If that makes sense. He’s a great human-being and an even better father. But when that flip switched something about his character started to feel forced and the connection I felt between the three of them also flipped to the off position. I wanted so much more than so many SHOCK FACTORS added through this novel. I wanted depth between the characters. I wanted a true connection and I wanted to feel that happily ever after down to the very depths of my soul. So, bottom line, a trope/fact that had me intrigued to read this novel (FMC Stalker). Ended up being the reasoning behind why I didn’t really care for this novel.

And I’m going to end this review by stating, if you loved this book, I’m so happy for you! I wanted to love this one also, but I just couldn’t. To end this review on a positive note, I will state: I did, still, enjoy Daisy Jane’s style of writing. But this time, the highly detailed moments just weren’t for me. Also, her sisters’ Ivy and Juniper have stories coming and I’M INTRIGUED! ! Hopefully I’ll feel differently about their stories than this one. We shall see!
