Synopsis:

A fake relationship for a weekend between a biker who wants more and a shy girl who can’t give him the one thing he craves…

Mom’s coming to visit, and she expects to meet my new boyfriend. Spoiler alert: I don’t have a boyfriend. I pretended I had one to get Mom off my back. I didn’t expect her to show up on the mountain to meet him.
In steps Arlo, the bearded, tattooed biker I’ve been crushing on since I started working at the Wild Riders MC HQ. We’ll pretend to be together to keep Mom happy. But as the weekend goes on, I’m falling for the easy-going ex-military biker.
But there’s a reason why I don’t date, and not even Arlo can change my mind.

Wild Curves is a fake relationship romance featuring an ex-military mountain man biker and the shy girl whose curves he can’t get enough of.

Authors note: Wild Curves is a steamy instalove novella that can be read in about two hours. If you love a quickie, then dive on in!

This series was going so strong! I really loved the relationships in the first three books, but this fourth book, was just okay for me. Maggie and Arlo had so much potential, but it just felt flat to me. So let’s get to this review…

I’ve stated in a few past reviews, I have a love/hate relationship with short romance novels. And some tropes make that love/hate relationship stronger. Wild Curves was a good read. I really enjoyed Arlo’s calm, cool, and collected vibes throughout this novel and I also liked Maggie’s vulnerability. What I didn’t like in a short novel is the fake dating trope. With tropes like this, I typically need more plot and character development to get me on board for the relationship and the chemistry. There was a moment when I started to really spark up for these two, but then it fizzled out for me…. And that is the main reasoning behind why I gave this book a 2 star rating. I needed more from the storyline and I needed more chemistry from the characters.

I liked the premise of this romance, but the execution was lacking. Which only goes to show, and I say this all the time, I’m not going to love every book in a beloved series…

You never know, and judging from the reviews, so many readers loved this novel. If you are a fan of short stories with a friends to lovers, forced proximity, and fake relationship vibe then this novel may just be a hit for you.
