Synopsis:
Why is forbidden love the sweetest?
When Kendra turns up at the Wild Riders MC compound looking for a job, I’m in agony.
I’ve been in love with my best friend’s little sister since she waved us off for Iraq. I served with her brother. He’s my best friend, my MC brother, and my business partner.
If I act on my feelings for his little sister, I’ll not only dishonor my best friend, I’ll be banished from the club.
But when a customer gets handsy with Kendra, my protective instincts kick in. I’ll fight anyone and everyone to be with Kendra, whatever the price.
Wild Hope is a big brother’s best friend, forbidden love, age gap romance featuring an ex-military mountain man and the curvy, innocent woman who claims his heart.
Authors note: Wild Hope is a steamy contemporary novella that can be read in about two hours. If you love a quickie, then dive on in!

Wild Hope is the second book in Sadie King’s Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider’s MC Series. This is Travis and Kendra’s sweet and spicy forbidden romance.
Kendra was eighteen years old when she first set her sights on her older brother’s best friend, Travis. She knew from one glance, she could fall hard and fast for this man if she was ever given the chance. But sadly, when tragedy strikes, Kendra finds herself on the road looking for something that will help heal the ache in her heart. Unknowing that salve was within reach all along.
Travis has lived the past six years vicariously through a photograph. The same photograph that helped him through a tour in Iraq. One day, he’ll fess up and acknowledge his feelings for the woman in the picture standing in between him and his best friend, her brother. Little does he know, the woman he loves with all of his heart, is the same woman who just stepped in his restaurant.
My Thoughts:
Sadie King’s Wild Rider’s MC series is addicting! I’m falling head over boots for these men and their leading ladies! This is unlike any MC series I’ve read before. This is a band of brothers who all have the military life in common. I’m loving the calm lives these men live, I’m excited to carry on with this series. Even through my love/hate relationship with short stories/novellas, I’m loving these stories.
I loved Kendra and her take charge nature. I loved how she wasn’t about to let her brother and Travis, two rough around the edges mountain men boss her around. Instead their insistent nature rolled off her shoulders. I loved her push back! But what I loved most was the fact that she was vulnerable at all the right times.
And then we have Travis… Oh Travis, if there is one character I love most out of this series, I have a feeling it’s going to be Travis. This man was gentle with an alpha side. That ending moment, when he gave his epic speech of love to Kendra I felt my heart floating!
Now, on to my rating. I decided to give this novel a 3 ½ Star rating due to the fact that I really wanted a wedding scene! I wanted to watch a disgruntled brother walk his little sister down the aisle towards his best friend. I wanted to see the promise of forever in both of their eyes as they vowed their lives to one another. I wanted to witness the pride in Travis’ eyes when he finds out he’s going to be a daddy… and herein lies my love/hate relationship with short novels in the romance genre. I wanted to bear witness to all of the important events in Travis and Kendra’s lives and the small tidbit that was given was, simply, not enough!
Overall, I loved Travis and Kendra’s story, but I wanted so much more! I can’t wait to see glimpses of these two in future novels.
