Kiss me.
Hold me.
Claim me.
Love me.

It’s hard to remember what life was like before the dark-haired, dark-eyed devil waltzed into Silver’s life and set fire to her soul.

The town of Raleigh is gradually returning to normal after the painful losses it suffered. Jacob Weaving and his football f#@k boys are nothing but tainted memories in Silver’s rear-view mirror. The halls of Raleigh High don’t even inspire the same terror that they used to…

But…

Falling in love so hard, so fast was always bound to blind a girl. Silver has been too wrapped up in her inked-up hero to notice any of the signs: all is not as it should be at Raleigh High. The Raleigh High elite haven’t forgotten the girl who dared defy them…

And now it’s time to make her pay.

Revenge At Raleigh High is the second book in the Raleigh Rebels series by Callie Hart. This novel also comes with content warning such as kidnapping, physical abuse, and torture towards the end. So if you decide to jump into this book, be prepared for moments with that type of content. Also, this novel is not a standalone and should be read after reading The Rebel of Raleigh High.Because this is a continuation of Alex and Silver’s story, I’m not going to dive into details on what this book is about. I’ll just give my thoughts and opinions as spoiler free as I possibly can.

I went into Revenge At Raleigh High with trepidation. After all that had happened at the end of the first book, I was very nervous about reading this book. I wasn’t sure what this novel would contain. What triggers or warnings would be waiting around the bend. I was literally on the edge of my seat constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Let’s start with Silver. I loved Silver a little bit more in this novel. I loved watching her slowly grow from her tragedy. She became a stronger, more resilient, form of herself. She showed true strength and grit in this novel. I also loved watching her open up further and let Alex in a little more. She opened her heart up to this man and, with his help, she began learning how to trust again.

Alex showed true honesty in his point of view chapters. I loved getting an insight to his thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The rage that grew with him each and every day, had me on the edge of my seat waiting for him to pop off at any given moment.  I was scared this man would end up behind bars…. Ugh, my anxiety was raging with this one!

Now for the reasoning behind my rating. I gave Revenge at Raleigh High a 3 star rating for a few different reasons. The first being how predictable this novel was… if you read the first novel, you probably will be able to predict who is sending Silver the threatening text messages. I wish the person wasn’t the obvious choice…  The second reason behind why I dropped two stars on my rating is the chemistry between Alex and Silver felt a little flat in this one. I wanted more laughs from them, and more love from them. Maybe some more one on one scenes where they’re just cuddled up and talking about their lives and getting to know one another on a more personal level, they already know each other’s trauma and tragedy, why relive it over and over and over again.  The third reason behind why I rated this book a three star had to do with Alex and his little brother Ben. My heart loved the moments between Alex and his brother… but I was sad that I didn’t really see Ben in this novel. I was hoping there would be more involvement with his brother Ben. The final reasoning behind my rating had to do with that conflict scene between Silver and her text messaging stalker…. I’m a huge fan of dark romances, but for some reason the scenes with Silver had my heart breaking and my hands itching to close this novel and not pick it back up again. I wasn’t a fan of these moments….

Overall, I’m starting to wonder if I’m really loving the relationship aspect of this series, or if it’s the endless drama that keeps me coming back for me. I have one book left to read (Reckless at Raleigh High) and I’m hoping everything will be wrapped up in a pretty bow by the end of this novel.
