Synopsis:
A boy who dreamed about rock and roll.
A girl who dreamed about a boy.
A story about obsessive love, betrayal, loss and learning.
‘I was just eleven years old, but I knew without a shadow of a doubt I was staring into the eyes of the boy I was going to love forever.’
No matter how many lies are told, no matter how many people conspire to keep us apart, despite the fame and the distance, it will only ever be him.
This is NOT, your typical love story, but this is OUR story. The Story Of Us.
This Story May Contain Triggers.

The Story of Us is the first book in the Carnage series by Lesley Jones. For those of you who expect a happily ever after with your romance novels, this isn’t that type of book…. You’ve been warned.
This romance follows the life of a girl in love with a boy who is destined to be a rockstar. Georgia knew she loved Sean from the moment she first laid eyes on him. Even at a young age, she knew meeting him was going to change her life forever. The Story of Us takes us on a trip through Georgia and Sean’s journey of life and of love.
I’m going to be honest, the first part of this novel wasn’t love for me… Don’t get me wrong, I liked Georgia and Sean, but I didn’t love them at first. I felt there was way too much drama revolving around the two at all times. I didn’t get the chance to actually see them together without the drama. I didn’t feel their chemistry unfold until after the initial reconciliation. My heart became invested when I saw everything unfold between the two. I saw the truths come to light and lies be brought out of the darkness. It was then that I felt the true connection between the two.
So that goes to show, I kind of felt more from the other half of this novel. The half that lovers of Sean would rather not talk about. That’s right, I was #TeamCam, and I still am. There was something about this man’s character that really spoke to me. I loved how affectionate he was with Georgia, but he wasn’t afraid to tell her like it is when she had a brat-itude.
Even though I was Team Cam, I wouldn’t wish what happened at the end of The Story Of Us on any character!! My heart is broken, and I don’t think anything will be able to mend it. And after reading the conclusion to Georgia’s story, The Story Of Me, I can easily say this heart is still broken! And that’s all I’m going to say about that.
Overall, I really enjoyed The Story Of Us by Lesley Jones. It goes to show, I could have done with a little less drama because seriously, how much can one character go through before it is finally enough. My heart will forever remember this one. And due to spoilers, that will be all I’ll say about this novel.
