My currently read is an ARC of Blunted by M.N. Forgy! I have two MC authors who I’ve deemed favorites of mine. The first is Jamie Begley, and M.N. Forgy happens to take the seconds spot! This novel was actually written by her mother, but sadly, her mother passed before she had a chance to publish her first novel. So M.N. Forgy decided to take matters into her own hands, and work out all the kinks, edit her mother’s book, and release it into the world where it can be shared and loved. My heart goes out to M.N. Forgy. As for this book, I can’t really say too much, I’m only three chapters in. What I can say is I’m really enjoying what I’ve read so far and I can’t wait to read more!
I was never a fan of audiobooks, until I found how handy they can be! When I’m out working in my garden, when I’m doing housework, or when I need to drown out all the noise from everyday struggles, I find audiobooks to be very useful. I’m currently listening to The Sweet Spot by Adriana Locke (Narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Stella Hunter). This is either the second or third Adriana Locke book that I have read, and I have to say, I’m seeing the potential and the reasoning behind why reader’s love her so much! I’m loving Cole and Palmers story! I can’t wait to go out and weed my garden just so I can listen to more!!
What Did You Recently Finish Reading?
Firewalker – Jamie Begley | Amazon Link: https://amzn.to/43Yb05P
Desired By Doom – Jamie Begley | Amazon Link: https://amzn.to/3r4OpWK
I finished two books this week!! That’s a step in the right direction when it comes down to completing my reading challenge for 2023! With these two books, I also completed my challenge of catching up on Jamie Begley’s backlist and reading order! Let’s first start with Firewalker by Jamie Begley! I loved the supernatural element to this novel. I honestly think the buildup for this family, throughout all of Jamie Begley’s novels was the icing on the cake. We knew something was off about the Coleman family and that there was a strong family feud between the Coleman’s and their cousins, the Porters…. However, Jamie Begley never gave too much away. So that left me, and her readers, dying to get our hands on at least one story from a Coleman’s point of view! I can’t say much more, due to spoilers. what I can say is I fell head over heels for Matthew and Alanna’s story!! You can read my full review here!
Desired by Doom really surprised me! But first, I’m so happy Jamie Begley decided to give us another Last Rider Series! I have a feeling things are about to get even crazier within the Ohio Chapter of The Last Riders MC!! After reading Desired by Doom, I can’t wait to see what the other club members have to offer!! Now, let’s get back to Doom and Arden’s story. For a series starter, this was an enjoyable read and did exactly what it had to do. It hooked Begley’s readers and now we all want more. Doom is exactly what his road name describes him to be. This is a man who shouldn’t be messed with. I think that’s why I loved Arden’s character so much. She pulled, he pushed. It was an endless array of back and forth. You can read my full review here!

I’m glad you’re enjoying The Sweet Spot. That is a fun one from Locke. I have enjoyed several of hers and others have been misses. It just depends.
I’ll have to keep that in mind!
