Happy Belated Independence Day America!
Mr. Man and I had a spur of the moment BBQ with his mom and sister and my mom yesterday. It was low key, but the most easy going and chill BBQ we’ve had since we moved in to this house. It felt really calm and that’s exactly what I need in my life right about now. We made great use of the pool thanks to the ninety-seven degree temperatures. Mr. Man made BBQ Burgers, grilled corn, potato salad, and coleslaw. I made all the fixings for strawberry shortcake. For waking up and saying we should have a small get together, with no planning whatsoever, everything came together perfectly! Great memories were made.

I’m 15% into Firewalker by Jamie Begley. I had hoped to be either further or finished with the book by now. Between gardening, cleaning the house, and outside work life has been too busy to pick up a book and read. I’ll be sitting on the porch reading all day today, so hopefully I’ll be wrapping this one up by the end of the day! So far, I’m intrigued by the premise of this one! I’m loving the supernatural elements and the soulmate storyline! I can’t wait to dive deeper into this one!!
I’m also listening to The Sweet Spot by Adriana Locke! I am loving the strong single mother vibes with this one! Adding a baseball retiree hotshot to the storyline is the icing on the cake! I can’t get enough of this one. I’m currently on Chapter 16 and I need more!!

What Do You Plan On Reading Next?
Next up on my reading list is Desired By Doom by Jamie Begley. I’m almost caught up with her reading list!! I also want to read Frayed by Laura Pavlov… and last, but certainly not least, I’m going to read Smokeshow by Abbi Glines. I’ll probably jump into this one as soon as I finish Desired By Doom! We shall see, all I know is I’m excited to start this new series by Abbi Glines!
That sounds like a lovely time with your family! My daughter went with friends for the first holiday ever, so my husband and I did pretty much nothing but watch a movie together.
