Synopsis:

One by one, she watched The Last Riders find their happily ever after with women who weren’t her.
The one that hurt the most was Reaper.
But, even with the dagger that had been lodged deep in her heart, she still held hope that this time, finally, she would be given the winning hand.
And what do you think she was given?
Not the hot, badass biker she was expecting. He wasn’t bad, nor was he a biker.
He was hot, though.
While one out of three sucked, it wasn’t worth her giving up The Last Riders for. Of course that didn’t prevent her from taking him out for a test drive, either.
Until … she found out the road ahead wouldn’t be the same without him.
Until … she didn’t want to ride with anyone else.
Until … she reached the curve in the road where she had to make a choice.
Either leave The Last Riders to continue the ride with a man who might ultimately give her that winning hand, or leave him.

Jewell was brought into the protection of the Last Riders when Reaper found her living in her car and damn near frozen to death. Since that moment, she felt something for the biker. Having lived under the protectful eye of the Last Riders MC, Jewell never imagined the idea of leaving or falling in love with someone who didn’t live the Last Riders life.

That is, until she sets her sights on Rory. Rory expertises in the world of sex everything from intimacy to bdsm, this man has the knowledge and capability of bringing both men and women to their knees. But there is one woman he can’t seem to break. The Last Rider’s call her Jewell, but to him, she’s his firefly. He just has to get her to see she’s worth more than the Last Riders, and he’ll do everything he can to get her to see her worth, the way he sees her.

My Thoughts:

It has been a long time since I last read a romance from Jamie Begley… Now I know why I wait for a few books to be released before diving into the new releases. It’s all about the marathon sessions! I can’t get enough of these Last Rider Bikers and the Biker Bitches. Gosh, I missed these men and women!

Now for a tad bit of honesty, out of all the Last Riders and Biker Bitches, I was dreading Jewell’s story. I know from past reads, she had a thing for Gavin/Reaper, I was worried that her story was going to be an all out sob fest full of unrequited love. HOWEVER, that’s not what Jamie Begley gave us. Jewell’s story consists of forgiveness and finding the ability to move on. Her story was so much deeper than being a club girl. We learned about her history with loss, and her inability to move on past tragedy. I loved the fact that Jewell’s history went so much deeper than I initially thought. And I’m shocked to say, out of all the women featured in the Last Riders MC/Biker Bitches Series, Jewell’s story is my absolute favorite. This woman is a warrior!

And then we have Rory. I loved the fact that Rory was unlike any man Jewell has been with. He’s passionate, calm, and careful when it comes to not only her heart, but also her spirit. He’s all those things, but he’s also not afraid to tell it like it is. I do have to say, I had a feeling I knew who Rory’s true identity was and I was excited when I found out my theory rang true.

I’m going to end it there due to fear of spoiling future readers.

Overall, I loved Jewell by Jamie Begley. Everything about this novel spoke of truth and drowned within sensuality. I loved the chemistry between Jewell and Rory, I always saw her with a Last Rider, but I understand why that wouldn’t have worked. If she stayed within the club, they would forever be the crutch that holds her back. So bottom line, I loved the fact that Jewell has a little separation from that Motorcycle Club. There wasn’t a moment in this novel that I wasn’t clutching my heart and hoping for the best possible outcome! Bottom line, Jamie Begley rocks when it comes to writing compelling MC stories, so if you’re in the mood to binge a great series/spinoff don’t hesitate to pick up this series!
