What snack do you usually have nearby while you read?
My Answer:
Before I started a lifestyle change, my answer would have been potato chips and french onion dip with a vernors. But now, I find myself reaching for DIY trail mix! I keep pistachios, walnuts, cashews, almonds, pecans, and dried cranberries in my cupboard in order to avoid all those salt-ridden potato chips! And in all honesty, chips and dip never filled me up and I was left feeling hungrier than when I started! But with the trail mix, it actually fills me up and I’m not snacking away afterwards. I also love Apples or Caramel Rice Cakes with Peanut Butter and Toast with homemade strawberry jam are a few more of my favorite snacks. These foods may sound the least bit exciting, but I’m getting older now, and it’s time I start taking back my health the best way I can by observing what I put into my body.
