Question of the Day?| What was the last Book You Did Not Finish (DNF)?

Welcome back!
Today marks day nine of my Question of the Day journey.

I tend to not bring the negative to my blog site. However, since yesterday. was all about the top reads on our wrap ups. I thought, why not go to the opposite side of the rating scale and discuss those books that didn’t meet our expectations. So let’s get started!

Question Of The Day:
What was the last Book You Did Not Finish (DNF)?

My Answer:

It is rare for me to DNF a novel. I’ll usually suffer through a read, until the very last page and then kick myself for wasted time and for not picking up a different book when I had the chance. This year I made it my mission to let those books I’m not feeling, go! So far, I only gave one book the boot, and that book was Love is For Suckers by Rebel Wild. I’m not going to sit here and talk down about the book, because honestly, what doesn’t work for me may be the absolutely best read to you. What I will say is, I had a hard time finding the chemistry between characters and everything in the first quarter of the novel felt a bit rushed and off to me. It also could have been the timing to which I read the novel wasn’t right or the actual story didn’t grab my attention in the timeframe I normally like. The world, and this girl, may never know. I just wasn’t feeling this one, and I let it go.

If you want to join me on this journey, you can answer the question in the comments, or create your own post and tag me in it! I’d love to see and interact with all of your answers!

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
