Welcome back to another Sunday Post! This post is a chance for me to give you a run down on what I’ve been up to, not only in reading and blogging, but on a more personal scale. Sometimes I like to hide away from the world, and this is an opportunity for me to open up a little more and share more of me than just my bookish thoughts. So let’s get started with this post!

This week flew by and I can’t believe it’s already Sunday. We managed to do a few more updates on our house, mainly in the garage, or as I like to call it, Mr. Man’s man cave. We also did some yard work. I think this upcoming week, maybe even today, we’ll be putting down baseboard in the living room and swapping all the electrical outlets and covers, along with swapping the air return vent in the living room. So nothing super exciting is going into the remodeling process, we’re just one more step towards having the house of our dreams. Next room on our list is the *orange room of pain*, this room is so bright it gives me a headache every time I go by it. Definitely looking at skim coating the walls, thanks to the person who did not remove the old wallpaper before painting. I can safely assume this process is going to cause a mass amount of headaches in the near future.
Aside from the house renovations, yesterday we had a bit of fun. It was my 9 year old Niece and 15 year old Nephew’s combined birthday party. And then after the bday party Mr. Man and I joined our local fire department at the Dow Diamond for the Loons game (Minor League Baseball). I honestly wasn’t expecting to have as much fun as I did. But with a great group of people, I should have known better than to assume the negative.
Mr. Man and I got a surprise early this morning when we lost power due to a horrible storm that blew through. We lost power around 3 a.m. and it didn’t turn back on until 11 a.m. But thankfully, I was able to sleep through the whole night while Mr. Man stayed up and kept an eye on the storm. So that was an adventure all on it’s own for him. Now, I’m sitting here reading Quintessentially The One by Aleatha Romig and contemplating what to make for dinner and then maybe a trip to The Home Depot later on in the evening. What can I say, life is pretty good right now.

This week I’ve been leaning more towards the sweeter side of the romance spectrum. I read Never With Me by Kaylee Ryan and I’m currently reading Quintessentially The One by Aleatha Romig. I loved Never With Me and I’m currently loving Quintessentially The One! I can’t wait to dive back into my current read! What can I say, I love a secret baby romance!

Mr. Man has been marathoning Law & Order: SVU…. I’m not a fan of this show, a few episodes here and there are all right, but a complete day to day marathon is about to drive me up the wall! So to mix a little comedy in with the drama, I’ve been marathoning The Big Bang Theory. We both don’t have the time to start a series we have to invest our full attention in, so these two shows work for the both of us… for now.

This week I added several new releases to my KU Library!

That sounds like a scary storm! Glad you were able to fit in some fun things this week. I just added Boyfriend Material, too. Hoping to read it later this week. I think you will love that Amy Daws series and Emma Scott’s book. I am currently binging Elizabeth O’Roark’s Devil series. It’s SO good.
I’m starting the Amy Daws series right now! It’s been on my tbr for way too long. Elizabeth O’Roark is a new to me author but after checking out a few of her books just now on amazon, I may have to change that soon!
Yes! Do! I think you would LOVE this series.
I’ll add it to my reading list! Thanks for the Book Recommendation!
