Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted byย That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week is a new bookish category in which we get to brag about our favorite books that fit with the weekโs category. You can pick your top 5, 10, 15โฆor so on. I tend to keep my list to ten!
Todayโs category: Titles or Covers That Made Want to Read/Buy the Book
This week I decided to pick my favorite swoony and sweet romance book covers.ย
Choose Me – RC Boldt
Trope(s): Emotionally heart-wrenching coming-of age romance
Wearing the nicest suit I own, I stand in the very back with a flask full of whiskey in my inner pocket. I put on a brave face as I watch her walk down the aisle.
Because itโs too late.
I refuse to be the bastard who makes her cry on her wedding day, but Iโm dying to tell her what Iโve always known. Sheโs my best friend, but she doesnโt realize she owns my f*cking heart and soul, too.
ย
Each step down that aisle takes her farther away from me and brings her closer to him, forcing me to face the truth: Iโve fallen in love with someone who canโt be mine. If sheโd just turn around, maybe sheโd realize I love her more than he ever could.
I wonโt ruin her perfect day, but my broken heart begs me to try and convince her.
Choose me.
Unforgettable – Melanie Harlow
Trope(s): Emotional Small Town Romance
Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasnโt.
After tanking my careerโduring the World Series, no lessโthe last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but Iโd always wanted her, and Iโd never forgotten herโthe red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. Itโs been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, itโs even hotter this time aroundโand I donโt want it to end.
But just when I think Iโm ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.
Silver-Tongued Devil – Lorelei James
Trope(s): Historical Western Romance
Their love story sparked a brush fire that grew into the legacy of Lorelei James’s Rough Riders series. This standalone historical romance is a prequel to the McKay family saga.
The West doesnโt get much wilder than Silas McKay. Heโs earned his cowboy reputation not just as a rancher, but as a brawling card sharp whoโs short on cash but long on charm. And just as soon as he claps eyes on the pretty new schoolteacher? Well, Dinah Thompson is about to discover what courtinโs like McKay-styleโsweet, hot and passionate.
Luckily, Dinahโs got the sass and sense to stand up to Silasโs shenanigans. She relocated to rural Wyoming to teach and become a self-reliant woman, not to spend her nights dreaming about that blue-eyed rogue and his ranchwork honed-body. But Silas McKayโs powerful appeal and tempting promises convince Dinah to recklessly go all in with him.
When Silasโs long-standing rivalry with Zeke West puts Dinah, Silas and his twin brother Jonas in danger, each one is forced to make difficult decisions about taking a chance to build their legacy . . . and a love that transcends time.
Glow – Molly McAdams
Trope(s): Second Chance Small Town Romance
Iโm the only Dixon brother to step up when our family crumbled.
When I took over the ranch, I lost everything, career included.
My heart hadnโt been in it anyway. It couldnโt. A girl left with it over a dozen years ago.
Now sheโs back.
Different hair. New style. Kid clutching her hand.
Not a trace of the Madison Black I knew. A down-home girl with the sweetest smile and drawl. The rebel with a spirit that glowed so bright.
But with one conversation, that girl starts to reappear.
One kiss, the years apart fade away.
One night, I vow to never let her go again.
But some pasts refuse to stay buried. And when the heart-wrenching truth behind her leaving is revealed, it might ruin us all.
The Sun and her Star – Dylan Allen
Trope(s): Coming Of Age, Angst, Second Chance, Friends To Lovers
Graham was born to be a star.
Once upon a time, that star shone only for me.
Now, I have to share him with the rest of the world.
For a while, I thought I could do it. Because, beneath the hypnotic smile, gorgeous body and God-given charm that made him famous, I still caught glimpses of my best friend.
Of the boy who called me sunshine and loved me.
I wore that love like a crown . . . until he placed it on anotherโs head.
Losing him was agony, distance felt like the only cure.
When tragedy reunites us after years apart, it only takes one touch to erase the past. Just like that, I’m back in his arms.
He promises this time will be different. But Iโm afraid to believe him.
Because behind his starโs blinding brilliance is a darkness that doesnโt want to let him go.
I know a star that bright canโt belong to just one person, but my jealous heart doesnโt want to share him.
I want all of him . . . even if wanting what doesn’t belong to me leads me to ruin.
The Best Of Us – Kennedy Fox
Trope(s):ย Best Friendโs Older Brother, Opposites Attract, Snowed-In.
ย
What happens when the biggest blizzard of the year hits and youโre trapped in a cabin with your best friendโs brother? You take every opportunity to spend time together and make him fall in love with you.
The Best of Us is a best friend’s brother, opposites attract, and snowed-in together standalone romance.

Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour – Erin Nicholas
Trope(s): Friends with benefits small town romance
Sheโs been proposed to five times.
Five.
She even said yes to one of them.
And then broke his heart when she called it off. Not to mention her motherโs heart. And her grandmotherโs. And his motherโs. Andโฆyou get the picture.
Paige Asher has now officially sworn off all dating. Diamonds give her hives.
All she wants is to be a yoga-doing, cat-collecting, vegetarian in peace. Away from her marriage-crazy family and all their expectations.
So when her weekend fling turns into a real friend and offers her a place to escape, she finds herself on his doorstep in Louisiana. And right in the middle of not just one family wedding, but three. Of course.
Charming, sexy bayou boy Mitch Landry gets stuff done. Whatever anyone needs. From alligator-sitting to getting a buddy drunk to showing a woman a good time to fixing a swamp boat, heโs the man. No problem. No drama.
But he wants a hell of a lot more from Paige than a temporary friends-with-benefits arrangement. He wants to take care of her. And her five cats. He also really wants other men to stop asking her to marry them.
But if a roommate and a few orgasms are all she wants, thatโs what heโll deliver.
He can just be her friend and not commit the greatest sin of allโฆasking her for forever.
Probably.
The Fling – M. Robinson
Trope(s): Single mother (with Twins) romantic comedy.
What happens when you make a pact with your boys to stay single and never fall in love? Well, you get the Playboy Pact.
I was the playmaker.
The one with the best moves, the best lines.
I was the best at everythingโฆ
And I mean, everything.
There was no woman immune to my charm.
To my looks.
To my bed-hopping ways.
It was supposed to be easy.
A quick, fun, mind-blowing night where she screamed out my name in ecstasy.
No feelings.
No past.
No strings attached.
I broke the rules.I broke the pact.
I fell for her smile.
Her laugh.
Our instant connection.
Except, I never expected to fall in love.
Especially with a single momโฆ Of twins.
Forever After All – Kaylee Ryan
Trope(s): Friends To Lovers Small Town Romance
McKenna
Iโve always had a thing for my best friendโs older brother. In fact, Iโve been planning our wedding since elementary school. Then I grew up, moved away, and studying, and law school became my only focus.
Now that Iโm back, the sexy cowboy is everywhere I turn. I shouldnโt mind so much as Rip Callahan is all levels of fine. My problem? His presenceโฆ his attention is sending me in a spin. And our re-connection? Itโs fast and intense and everything Iโve ever dreamed of.
So why am I getting in my own way?
Rip
I didnโt know the first kiss I ever had would still play on my mind over ten years later. But with beauty and brains, McKenna Dawson is under my skin and very much off-limits.
Crushing on my sisterโs best friend isnโt the worst part. That connection? I canโt ignore it. Should I fight it? Probably. Do I want to? Absolutely not.
A challenge among friends is all it takes for me to know sheโs what Iโve been missing. That and one incredible trip with those same friends means thereโs no going back. Not for me.
It was only supposed to be a weekend, but maybe we were meant to be forever after all.
The Varsity Dad Dilemma – Lex Martin
Trope(s): New Adult/College Athlete, single father, Second Chance, Small Town
Whatโs worse than having Rider Kingston, the star quarterback, give you the big brushoff because he doesnโt want to get serious? Youโd probably think living across the street from him where you get a first-hand view of his hookups, right?
Thatโs what I thought. Until someone drops off a baby with a note pinned to her blanket that says one of those jocksโeither Rider or one of his roommatesโis the father. The problem? Baby mama doesnโt mention which of these numbskulls is the sperm donor.
I wouldnโt care about their paternity problemsโnot the slightest bitโexcept my brother lives there too. Which means that adorable squawking bundle might be my niece, and thereโs no way Iโm leaving her unattended with those bumbling football players.
They need my help, even if they donโt know it yet. Once we solve this dilemma and figure out whoโs the daddy, Iโm out.
Iโll just ignore Rider and those soul-searing looks he gives me every time I reach for the baby. He broke my heart three years ago. He wonโt get a second chance.

The stories inside are just as great as the covers! โค I see a few re-reads in the near future.
Great twist on the topic. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2021/08/top-ten-tuesday-hyped-books-and-series.html.

These are so swoony! I love what you did with this post. I wish I would have thought of it myself. I kind of want to read The Sun and Her Star after seeing the cover here.
Thanks! The Sun and Her Star was an amazing story! It’s definitely worth the read, in my opinion.

All these covers are so swoony. I love that you went this direction
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday: https://mybookjar.com/blog/top-10-books-we-want-to-read-based-on-the-title/
Thanks! I’m a lover of romantic covers. The difficult part of this post was choosing only ten covers…
I’m not much of a romance reader, but when I do read them, I like a sweet, small-town romance. Do you know of any good ones with a PG to PG-13 rating??
Happy TTT!

Have you heard of the Mason Creek Series. It’s a series of small town romances and each book in the series is by a different author. I’ve read the first three books and the eighth book in the series, all were sweet and swoony. There are a few sexy time scenes towards the end but they aren’t over the top and can easily be skipped over. The series is also on Kindle Unlimited if that helps.
These covers are definitely swoony but that Choose Me cover had me dying ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Yes! Choose Me is one of my favorites! RC Boldt brings the cover lust to life!
