How hard can it be?

That was the question rolling around Larissa Mason’s mind just before she asked Hollis Hudson to be her fake boyfriend.
It was only supposed to be for five minutes, after all.

Granted, that was also before she felt his hand on the small of her back as he charmed the heck out of her family.
She hadn’t heard his laugh yet either.

And it was definitely before she saw the football god shirtless. Otherwise, she would’ve had an idea of just how hard some things could be.

It turns out that pretending to be in love with a crazily handsome, somewhat enigmatic, and absolutely unforgettable tight end (that has an amazing tight end) is easy.

Reminding herself that just because opposites attract doesn’t mean they’re forever is much harder.

What they have isn’t love—it’s a relationship pact. Right?

Adriana Locke is a fairly, maybe even, new to me author. I’ve seen her books floating by on Facebook and amazon but I never 1-clicked on them….. After reading The Relationship Pact I can guarantee I’m going to 1-click the hell out of any book I see floating past me on social media. This author is a BOSS!!! I love the way she tells a story!

In My Own Words:

Larissa is a newly single woman who can’t get her ex-boyfriend off her back. Everywhere she goes he’s their flaunting his newest conquest in her face. While at a bar with her friend, she sees Mr. Schmuck and his new cling on heading her way. In a moment of desperation she persuades an attractive stranger to play her fake boyfriend for a few minutes.

What started as a ruse turns into so much more for Larissa Mason and Hollis Hudson. He needs her for a casual dinner, and she needs him once more to get her mother off her back when it comes to her personal life… and so the Relationship Pact begins.

You can only go on so many dates before real feelings start to sink in. And given Hollis’ past, anything anywhere remotely close to love and feelings has the potential to mark him a flight risk.

My Thoughts:

I’ve heard many things about Adriana Locke and her novels. I’ve heard many great things and still she sat unread on my tbr…. I don’t know, I guess I’ve been hiding under the big stupid rock, this entire time. The Relationship Pact blew me away!!! I can guarantee I’ll be reading more from this author in the very near future.

One thing I loved about this novel was how Adriana Locke brought two totally opposite characters together. Larissa is from a family of wealth while Hollis was in foster care for most of his life until he turned eighteen. Hollis has never let himself love anyone while Larissa let’s love in too easily. There were many variables to this opposites attract trope that I loved.

Larissa is the exact person Hollis needed in his life. He needed someone to tear down his walls and force himself to open up. Larissa is a curious individual and wants to know everything about everyone she meets. So she naturally eases through Hollis’ walls and begins to untangle the heartache that lives in the depths of his soul. I think I loved this part the most. I loved how these two complete opposites find a way to tear down each other’s walls. True love is a beautiful thing and you can’t get any truer than these two!

So bottom line, if you are considering reading this novel but haven’t had a chance yet, stop what you’re doing and read the damn thing! This series was fantastic! I honestly wouldn’t be disappointed if these three authors decided to write another series together!
