Hello all and welcome back to another WWW Wednesday. If you are new, this is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week we answer the three W’s.
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?

I’m currently reading an advanced copy of Lock by Kimberly Knight. Lock is a fairy tale retelling based on Rapunzel and is one of the novels in the Sinister Fairy Tales Collection. I’m at the 50% mark and so far I’m intrigued…. This is definitely unlike any Rapunzel story I’ve ever read.
Blurb:
From USA Today bestselling author Kimberly Knight, comes a dark, retelling of a classic story that takes place in present-day New York City.
Before Zell was born, her fate was sealed.
Held captive in a high-rise overlooking New York City since the age of twelve, she had no friends her own age, no life outside of the penthouse, and absolutely no choices of her own. But what she didn’t realize was the tower where she lost her freedom would one day become her salvation. Her prince would arrive, they would fall in love, and they would come up with a plan for her to escape so they could live happily ever after.
If only it were that easy
Every girl dreams of her life becoming a fairy tale, even Zell, who’s knowledge of romance was simply from the books she stole from other girls at the brothel.
In a world where sex, drugs, and manipulation is solely the life she knows, the only fairy tale poor Zell would endure would be a sinister one …
Because freedom always comes at a price.

Since my last WWW Wednesday post I finished five books! The first book I finished was an paperback copy of While He Was Away by Karen Schreck…. This book had so much potential at the beginning…. However, I finished this novel feeling very disappointed and confused. Too much was going on in this story. The true message of the novel was blurred. My Rating: ✮✮

One year―he’ll be gone for one year and then we’ll be together again and everything will be back to the way it should be.
The day David left, I felt like my heart was breaking. Sure, any long–distance relationship is tough, but David was going to war―to fight, to protect, to put his life in danger. We can get through this, though. We’ll talk, we’ll email, we won’t let anything come between us.
I can be on army girlfriend for one year. But will my sweet, soulful, funny David be the same person when he comes home? Will I? And what if he doesn’t come home at all…?
I also finished several advanced copies from my tbr!! I’m on a roll this week. The second book I finished this week was Creole Kingpin by Meghan March! This is the first book in the Magnolia Duet and holy hell, Meghan March brought her A game with this novel. I was entranced from the beginning until she pushed me over the cliff. I am on the edge of my seat needing answers and wanting more. Moses and Magnolia are FIRE!!! My Rating: ✮✮✮✮

The thing about ghosts is they’re supposed to stay dead.
That’s exactly what I am, but I can’t stay away from Magnolia Marie Maison for one more day, let alone another year.
We’ve already got fifteen of those between us.
As it stands, she’ll want to kill me as soon as she lays eyes on me. And knowing her, she’s completely up to the task.
But I’m a man on a mission, and I’ve got everything riding on this.
So, here I come, Magnolia. This ghost is ready for whatever you got.
After all, there’s only one way I want this to end—’til death do us part.
The Third book I finished was The Trade by Meghan Quinn! Meghan Quinn’s baseball romances are some of my most favorite! I loved Cory and Natalie’s story!! This may just be my favorite in the series of standalones. My Rating: ✮✮✮✮.5
Blurb:
Can you pinpoint a time in your life where you realized you are completely and utterly screwed?
I can. I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes.
I was traded. Yeah, that phone call.
Traded from my long time team of over ten years. And not just to any team, but my childhood rivals; the Chicago Rebels.
Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.
I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she’s perfect.
I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn’t get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.
So what’s the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can’t stop crushing on, yeah . . . she’s married.
At least, that’s what I was told . . .
The Fourth book I finished was The Prospect Who Saved Us by M.N. Forgy. This is the second book in Piper and Saint’s story. I’m still processing my thoughts on this novel. My Rating: ✮✮✮✮
The Prospect Who Saved Us

***Continuation of The Long Road To Us
Piper thought love was just a state of mind and not for a woman of her taste and background. That was until Saint charmed the panties right off her, knocking her up.
Saint and Piper made one of the worst mistakes you could make in their world and now Saint has to pray that mistake won’t be deadly.
The two of them got so lost in the idea of moving through their past together that they missed the worst betrayal in the depths of their clubhouse. The one place that is sacred, because at the club they are not just friends they are family. This loss of focus now puts Piper in the hands of a twisted nemesis, and The Devil’s Dust Motorcycle Club is not just falling apart because of it, it’s losing members faster than they can patch them in.
This leaves the Devil’s Dust with so many unanswered questions and making everyone wonder…will Piper return home safely? Who will save the club? And, most importantly, who will die and who will live to ride another day?
And last but certainly not least, I just finished an advanced copy of Southern Chance by Natasha Madison! Gah, I can’t get enough of the worlds and the character’s Natasha Madison creates. And now she’s added a swoony southern man and his belle to her roster… She killed me with the angsty vibes! I’m already in love with this series. My review will be posted closer to the release date!!! My Rating: ✮✮✮✮

Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Kallie
I fell in love with him when I was seven. I scraped my knee, and he helped carry me inside.
Our love story was the talk of the town until a woman told everyone she was pregnant with his baby. The only rational solution was to high tail it out of town and never come back.
My best friend needed a place to hide, and you can’t get much more covert than my family farm, so I came back. For her. It was supposed to be temporary, and I wasn’t supposed to see him, but that’s what happens when you live in a small town where everyone knows each other.
Jacob
Being the sheriff in a small town was never my dream. My father died and my older brother took off, so I had to be the one to look after my mother. I stayed. I fulfilled my duties as a son and I protected my hometown.
My life wasn’t perfect, but I was content. Until I locked eyes with a ghost from my past, Kallie. I thought it was my imagination, it couldn’t be. I loved her most of my life, but now I hated her.
The town gossip mill was going into overdrive. I kept my head down and my mind off of the woman who shattered my heart when she ran away. She didn’t give me a chance to explain, it didn’t matter to her then. I didn’t matter.
A second chance is never promised, but now that mine is right under my nose, I’m not sure I can take it.
