Hello all and welcome back to another WWW Wednesday. If you are new, this is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week we answer the three W’s.
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?
Let’s get started.

I know I should be focused on my arc tbr, but after hearing so much buzz about this novel, I can’t help but take a quick break from my tbr and pick this bad boy up. I just started Credence by Penelope Douglas. I’m fairly new to Penelope Douglas’ novels so I’m really curious with the direction this novel is heading in. I’m currently 8% into this one and all I have to say so far is, this is going to be one unpredictable read!! I’m loving it so far.

Tiernan de Haas doesn’t care about anything anymore. The only child of a film producer and his starlet wife, she’s grown up with wealth and privilege but not love or guidance. Shipped off to boarding schools from an early age, it was still impossible to escape the loneliness and carve out a life of her own. The shadow of her parents’ fame followed her everywhere.
And when they suddenly pass away, she knows she should be devastated. But has anything really changed? She’s always been alone, hasn’t she?
Jake Van der Berg, her father’s stepbrother and her only living relative, assumes guardianship of Tiernan who is still two months shy of eighteen. Sent to live with him and his two sons, Noah and Kaleb, in the mountains of Colorado, Tiernan soon learns that these men now have a say in what she chooses to care and not care about anymore. As the three of them take her under their wing, teach her to work and survive in the remote woods far away from the rest of the world, she slowly finds her place among them.
And as a part of them.
And she also realizes that lines blur and rules become easy to break when no one else is watching.
One of them has her.
The other one wants her.
But he…
He’s going to keep her.

This past week I finished three books! The first was Her Hot Ride by Heather Van Fleet. I was surprised to have loved this one as much as I did. If you’re in the mood for an MC read I highly recommend this one!

Her. Me. Handcuffs. You think you know what we’re up to, don’t you?
I’m Archer.
I’ve been in trouble plenty but I got these bad boys from home.
Emily looks so good handcuffed to me.
This is the only way I could think to stop her.
She found out her mom was in danger and she ran away.
She wants to save her, but we’re at war.
Her brother, my best friend, told me I have to keep her safe.
He trusts me.
Unlike every woman I’ve ever met.
Maybe it’s because I don’t kiss. On the mouth anyway.
But Emily’s the only woman who’s ever stood up to me.
Her thighs keep grazing mine. Her long brown hair tickling my bicep.
Locking her to me and throwing away the key.
I didn’t think this through…

I also finished an advanced copy of Rock Star, Unbroken by S.M. Shade. This is the second book in a duet and should not be read as a standalone. Given the ending to Rock Star, Interrupted by S.M. Shade, I knew I needed to get my hands on this book as soon as possible. I had so many questions and so many fears leading up to receiving this book on my kindle. Oh my god, I was expecting tears but I wasn’t expecting to ugly cry. These characters ripped and tore at every single one of my heart strings. I loved this duet!

I knew better and I let it happen anyway.
I was drawn in by her kindness and the way she sees into people. The way she looks through their motivations, their fears, into the heart of them where the good waits. One glance and she’s stripped away the layers we wrap ourselves in to keep from being unique.
She saw into me.
Then used it to her advantage.
Now, my son is in danger and if she’s behind it, there won’t be a hole deep enough for her to hide in.
I broke my own rules for Naomi.
My son will not pay the price.

And Last but not least, I just finished an advanced copy of Love At The Bluebird by Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin. I was a tad bit let down by this novel. I guess my love for country music runs deeper than I had initially thought. I expected more from this novel. It goes to show, you can’t expect to love everything a favorite author writes. My review will go up closer to the release date.

With a hit song sitting at number one on the country music charts, Gavin McNeer thought he finally had everything he ever wanted.
All it takes is one look from the mesmerizing woman sitting in the front row at one of his shows and a brief encounter to make him realize just what he’s been missing. Even though he’s been burnt in the past, Gavin puts his inhibitions aside and his heart on the line to earn the trust of the woman who could be his everything.
Working in an industry where relationships start and end in the blink of an eye, Alyson Dawson has made it her mission not to get mixed up with musicians, no matter how good-looking they are. Keeping her focus on her blossoming career and clients, Aly doesn’t even have time to date much less fall in love. That is until she meets Gavin, a man who changes everything with one smoldering look.
Just when these two begin to settle into their new relationship, Aly is asked to do something that may require her to choose between the career she’s building and the man she’s falling in love with. To make things worse, Gavin’s ex decides to add a touch of drama to an already delicate situation.
Will their love survive, or become just another sad love song?

I hope you love The One for You. It was my favorite in the series. I’m excited to read Unforgiven.
