First Line Fridays is a bookish meme created and hosted by Hoarding Books. The rules are simple, post the first line(s) of the novel you’re currently reading or in my case next up on your TBR. then head on over to Hoarding Books and link up. (also, if you’re a romance reader loving on those ab covers, be sure to write (mature) next to your linky if your post shows mature content.)
Today’s first line Friday is coming from a novel on my January TBR:
Jace
(Kings Of Country series, #1)
By: Sasha Summers
“Are you kidding me?” They could not be serious. Krystal glared at her daddy, country music legend Hank King, in pure disbelief.

Let the music carry you away in this brand-new series featuring the King family and their country music dynasty
Music is all he has…but is it enough to heal them both?
Jace Black went from an oilfield roughneck to an overnight singing sensation. Now he’s working on a duet with country music legend Krystal King, and he’s determined to earn his way to the top. But the more time he spends with Krystal, the more he finds himself falling for her—and he’s beginning to be more interested in her than he is in making a name for himself.
Krystal King grew up on stage and in the spotlight. No matter how golden her life appears, her past left deep wounds. But Jace Black makes her wish things were different. To do that, she’d have to risk letting him in… And that might be too big a risk for her battered heart to take.

Happy Friday!
Today on my blog I am sharing the first few lines from The Blizzard Bride by Susie Dietze: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2020/01/10/first-line-fridays-118/. I’m still working my way through this fun novel, so I will share another line or two from The Blizzard Bride.
“‘Forgive, forget, forgive, forget.’ The words formed a rhythmic refrain in Abby’s head, in time to the beat played by the group of fiddles and banjos Saturday evening at Mayor Carpenter’s birthday party.”
I hope you have an excellent weekend filled with relaxing reading time. 🙂❤️📚
Thank you so much for sharing!!
I hope you continue to enjoy your read and have a great weekend!
Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing the first line from Coral by Sara Ella: “Her soul was bleeding.”

That opening line has my complete attention!!!
My first line is from The Gray Chamber by Grace Hitchcock:
New York City, Fall 1887
Edyth Foster’s limbs burned as she pedaled down Fifth Avenue, her white skirts whipping in the wind while she wove around pedestrians and carriages, ignoring their shouts of protest.
Now this sounds like an intriguing read!
Thank you so much for sharing!
Happy Friday! I’m sharing from Volition by Chautona Havig on my blog today. Here is the first line from Chapter 18:
“For a week, I read my Bible, prayed like I’d never prayed before, and tried to ignore the skeleton that had moved into my closet.”
Wow! This sounds like a deep and emotional read. My heart felt that line.
Thank you for sharing!
