Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?
Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.
Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?

This is my second time reading Wethering The Storm… I didn’t expect to cry this time around… but here I am with tears streaming down my face.

Wethering The Storm is the second book in Samantha Towle’s The Storm series. This is a continuation to Tru and Jake’s story and is told from both point of views.
Jake and Tru finally have their chance for a happily ever after. Their engaged and in a great spot, until Jake let’s the fact that he doesn’t want children slip out. Now Tru has to decide if staying with Jake and never having a family is in her future.
But sometimes Fate has a funny way of stepping in and murking up the drawn line.

WOW! I can’t even begin to tell you all how much I love Tru and Jake’s story. This is my second time reading their story but it felt like the first. I didn’t think my heart would break all over again the second time around but it did.
Jake and Tru have been through so much in the short time they’ve been ‘officially’ together. I didn’t think the world had anything else to throw at me… boy was I wrong. This novel brings a whole new meaning of angst to the table. I remember the first time reading this book, I cried. So imagine my surprise when those tears decide to show up again and let’s just put it all out on the table again, I NEVER cry when rereading a book.
The tears make the Happily Ever After that much more special and meaningful.
Overall, I will forever love Tru and Jake’s story. There is no ifs, ands, or buts. Their story will always be one of my favorite rockstar romances. If you’re looking for passion and heartbreak look no further and pick up this series!
Now onto the rest of The Storm series. These next three books are brand new to me. I’m looking forward to Tom’s story the most!
