Wrecked and Reclaimed is the second book in Bink Cummings Wrecked Duet. This novel is told in Rosie and Kade’s point of view.

All Rosie craves is redemption, and a little blood shed to protect those who are unable to protect themselves isn’t asking for a lot. But being on protective duty for Katrina isn’t exactly what she had in mind.

Kade hasn’t had an easy life, in fact, you could probably say his life has been a complete shit show and even that would be an understatement. He never wanted love, because the people who fall in love eventually use it for selfish purposes. But once his eyes set on Rosie, he sees the similar demon that lives in her is the same one that lives in himself.

My Thoughts:

I highly recommend you read Wrecked And Restless before diving into Wrecked And Reclaimed. There are some situations talked about in this book that happened in the previous book, situations that may leave you a bit confused if you start this book before reading the first.

I can’t get over how much I loved this beautifully broken love story about two fractured souls meeting and uniting. I didn’t know what to expect when I first started this duet. I initially knew Rosie was a badass from the glimpses I got of her in the previous series and I just knew I had to get to know this character more. I was intrigued from the beginning.

I have to warn again, when it comes to Rosie and Kade’s backstory, there are some extreme triggers. Given the fact that Kade is messed up, I knew his backstory was going to break me, but I didn’t expect it to shatter my heart. I can honestly say, I did not see this coming where Kade was concerned. I didn’t see his backstory being so brutal.

Rosie and Kade are the perfect combination of bitter and beautiful. They’ve both suffered extreme loss, they are both battling with demons, and they are both stubborn to the boot. But what’s beautiful about this story is the fact that they slowly find trust in one another. Two people that have found it hard and nearly impossible to trust in another person have found that kind of safety within each other.

I legit can’t get over how awesome Bink Cummings writing style is. Everytime I pick up one of her novels I immediately become enraptured by her characters and the tragedies they all face. There is truth to the pain and some of the situations played out in her novels can be easy to connect with. We’ve all felt loss. We’ve all been through the ups and downs that come along with living your life. How you deal with those ups and downs are choices we are forced to make on a daily basis. I think Kade and Rosie dealt with their situations in the best way possible. These two have great strength and it was awe inspiring to witness that strength play out throughout the pages of this duet.

Overall, this was a great, but sometimes difficult, novel to read. I couldn’t be happier with the way Rosie’s story ends! All I’m going to say is, I love a good Happily Ever After!!
