Down The TBR Hole is a bookish meme created by Lia @ Lost In A Story. Each Saturday, or for how long it takes to cleanse my tbr, I’ll share ten books that have been on my tbr for the longest and then I’ll share whether I’m keeping them or Letting them go.
The Rules:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
Alright, let’s do this!
The Books

Date Added To TBR: August 31st, 2016
My Thoughts: Holy hell, this sounds like an emotional roller coaster and a really great novel. I actually am putting this one at the top of my tbr. I need to get my hands on this one soon.
Verdict: Keep It

Date Added To TBR: September 3rd, 2016
My Thoughts: This one also sounds very emotional and it gets a ton of amazing reviews. Hmm, I’m thinking I will keep this one around for now and see how it goes for me.
Verdict: Keep it

Date Added To TBR: September 6th, 2016
My Thoughts: I think I’m going to let this one go. the blurb doesn’t intrigue me like some of the romcoms I kept on my tbr.
Verdict: Let It Go

Date Added To TBR: September 6th, 2016
My Thoughts: My goal for 2019 is to read the rest of Chantal Fernando’s backlist. I don’t have that many books unread by Mrs. Fernando, so See No Evil will be staying on my tbr. Although, I’m a little nervous by the average 3.73 star rating on goodreads, i’m still going to give it a go.
Verdict: Keep It

Date Added To TBR: September 8th, 2016
My Thoughts: This blurb doesn’t interest me at all. I also tried reading this one a few years ago and remember I wasn’t able to easily get into it so I set it to the side and picked up another book. I think it’s safe to assume this book just isn’t for me.
Verdict: Let It Go

Date Added To TBR: September 8th, 2016
My Thoughts: I’ve been staring at this book on my bookshelf for the past couple months. Hopefully I can get to it sometime in the first half of 2019. I’m very optimistic I’ll enjoy this series. It sounds so good!
Verdict: Keep It

Date Added To TBR: September 8th, 2016
My Thoughts: This cover is so sexy! I loved all of the books in The Pucked series by Helena Hunting, so again, I’m optimistic that I’ll love this crossover novella just as much, if not more!
Verdict: Keep It

Date Added To TBR: September 11th, 2016
My Thoughts: I was intrigued when this book first released, through the years, my curiosity has dampened down a bit as soon as the hype started to fade. I have so many books on my tbr, I think for now, I’m going to let this one go. unless someone can convince me to give it a read.
Verdict: Let It Go

Date Added To TBR: September 15th, 2016
My Thoughts: This is another one of those over hyped books I added to my tbr because the hype had me curious. After reading the blurb, I’m not sure if this one is for me. For now i’m going to let it go.
Verdict: Let It Go

Date Added To TBR: September 15th, 2016
My Thoughts: I’m a sucker for a single dad romance! I’m definitely going to keep this one on my tbr and see where it leads me.
Verdict: Keep It

Yet again, I only removed 4 books from the 10 I listed above. It seems like this is a common number for me.
